I would have changed it too. There is enough political unrest on campus. They did the same thing with french fries after 9-11. Once normality is back, I am sure they will bring the name back.

Never mind. It even says Israeli couscous in the ingredients still.

    It’s a decent vegetarian meal.

You REALLY need a hobby dude. Haven't been on this thread yet, but 2 seconds in and it's rivaling your Paul Pelosi obsession.

    ...

Also as a German yourself.... maybe feel free to excuse yourself from the whole genocide debate please.

I got that book from my uncle Reinhard after reading the Turner Diaries in the 4th grade. The Mein Kampf book was harder to read at 12, but I got the bigger message. In high school I got an invite to the John Birch Society from him and then when I got married he mailed me a few Rush Limbaugh books on American history. Good times.

The long story short here is that the Presidents of Harvard, etc. shouldn't have been dumb enough to show up and allow themselves to be political pawns for clowns in Congress who are literally trying to end higher education because the dumber people are, the more likely it is that they'll vote for those clowns, and give them money.

Shouldn't have showed up to begin with, and then shouldn't have been dumb enough to give them the soundbite they were wanting so they can get "Cancelled."

    .....

Right wingers here, and foreigners like ATW don't really understand free speech on universities in the US, and how that works. Because if they did understand it, they'd understand that fire and brimstone Christian Evangelicals are the ones who have most frequently used the free speech policy. Every university in America today likely has at least one self proclaiming prophet yelling in the quad about the book of Revelation.

People in the quad at Universities say stupid abhorrent crap all the time. As long as they are peaceful and not calling for violence, I see no reason why free speech should be stifled on campuses. The President made a mistake by not explicitly saying that calling for genocide is not allowed because that is at another level even though yes... in the fine lines you could argue what is or isn't calling for genocide.

FYI those fire and brimstone prophets at every campus preaching the book of Revelations.... all of them are in a way calling for Genocide if you have ever read the book of Revelation and understand what that prophecy means for the Jewish people, and the state of Israel.

I think you would feel better if your kids went to Liberty University or Bob Jones University.
However, they will might pick up American ideas of tolerance and valuing free speech. You could try home schooling to prevent this.

Harvard hates everyone who is not giving them money. They’re a mutual fund land holding organization who has side hustles in education and preserving the social hierarchy.

Harvard is not even fond of the people who give it money.

The hypocrite in me however would still be proud if my kids were accepted to Harvard (not but Yale or Penn).

On universities in general, I thought the New York Times published a surprisingly thoughtful overview today (just saw via email so don't have a link for you right now), of the idea in general. Universities really have bent over backwards to create "safe spaces" for their students, whatever that means, and now they're in a pickle. You can't create a space that feels "safe" for people on both sides of this issue. I agree with dobro that it was completely braindead for those presidents to walk into a DC "gotcha" tournament, and boy did they ever get got.
