This is a silly idea. Every president does different things that augment our military, some do things that hurt the military (most do). Bush, via Rumsfeld, was going to cut an Army division, an aircraft carrier, and two combat air wings before 9/11. Clinton cut the military overall by about 1/3; it probably should have only been cut by about 1/5. Reagan... well, pretty much everything he did strengthened us militarily (if there's an answer to this silly question, this is it). Carter, widely percieved as weak militarily, OK'd the "Big 5", which gave us the technological supremacy we've used over the past 15 years to dominate. Every president does things that both hurt (except Reagan, that I can think of) and help us militarily. Silly question.

but they didn't take care of it....i'll agree entirely they should have...but they didn't.

evil is what happens when good people do nothing. in a world where it's not cool to point out evil when you see it...where it's more "intelligent" to say there's no such thing as evil...i still think it's evil to commit genocide. that's just me, though. and i don't want this country to be about facilitating or turning our collective back on evil.

The problem here Max, is that both participants in that Civil War were guilty of war crimes, and the Albanians were trying to forcibly take Kosovo from the Serbs.

there are never good guys...but when the group in power is systematically eliminating a people, the US needs to step in, assuming others fall down on the job.

europe's inaction while this went on in their own backyard is one of the strongest reasons their opinions on Iraq were treated with such little regard.
