How exactly would this be any better than the Warriors are now?

    Worst. Trade Idea. Ever.

I think I remember, during one of the China games, Bill Walton commenting on how Bill Russell really would like a chance to coach or tutor Yao. I think he or Kareem would be a better fit than Ewing.

Don't worry. I doubt they are Californians (me too) and HOPE Rox will trade YM to Lakers/GSW/Clips.

I heard from sina that Before Rox-Magic game when was notified that ALL starters won't play, YM told JVG HE wants to play against former team mates, since he felt awful and strange to play against former team mates, and the preseason game is a good opportunity for him to get familar with this kind of situation.

You're an idiot if you say we should trade Yao.

How many players in this league demand double/triple teams night in and night out...on every possession....off the ball? Kinda hard to put up great stats when facing that many defenders.

The fact is, Yao makes everyone around him better...Gasol, Odom, AK47, etc. don't have that big of an impact.

Go back to playing Live 2005 and keep pretending to be a basketball genius because you know how to push buttons.

Yao doesn't have much injury history, so you want to trade him because he may get injury in the furture is just stupid.

You are talking about 10 or 20 years ago, where the medical technology are no where near as advance as today. Shawn Bradley have the same size as Yao, and he didn't injury as much as those guys you listed. With right treatments, Yao can last for a long time.

Thank you! I thought I was the only one who always looked at Yao as a potential Bill Russell: Not a dominant scorer, not a force to be reckoned with, but the consummate team player who helps his team win.

    Is Artificial the new Juugie?

Anyways, Yao's sucess will be his passing. He has to dominate games without scoring 50 billion points. I dont not see Yao become a dominant defender ever, but as an offensive player, he needs to utilize all the skills he has and use them to the fullest. Which can be very dominating in a different way.

I hardly think the number of posts is directly related to love for the Rockets, basketball in general, or rational thought.

But tell me that I'm not right. Yao doesn't get triple teamed. He sucks....period. We should trade him for Gasol, Odom, AK47, or gasp, Chris Mihm plus role players.

Any GM would take that deal in a second. Doesn't that say something about Yao's talent?

In no way am I trying to patronize any fan in here, but sometimes you got to sit back and think...wait, maybe people who scout players for a living actually know what they're talking about.

P.S. We weren't a playoff team when Steve was playing to his strengths...we were when JVG changed the make-up of this team. Which would you rather have?
