I still believe we can make the playlets and make some noise, but I think we're going to need to just let Yao play and foot be damned.
No way you should be in this thread. Your 590 posts are all about Yao....we get it you hate him. Please join the Yao is done thread......bye
well, what to you expect. they are the lakers. but what pisses me is that we are at the bottom of the standings.
I was worried and disappointed with this season because like any true fan "We hope the Rockets are the greatest team in the world". So its been shot down, it isn't the end of the world. If we were half way into the season with a record of 28-12 and just suffered a 4 game losing streak, it wouldn't be so bad. This is just a losing streak, which we will get off and go on a winning streak. Folks need to manage expectations (I just did last night) 1. AB isn't going to turn into a superstar, its his 3rd year? 2nd as a full time starter, yes his defense is crappy but if he also made a few more shots it could mean the difference 2. Scola is playing great, he will have off shooting days. His defense is lacking but lets face it, he is what he is. 3. Shane, well Shane is only going to look good once the team plays better defense. And we don't need another scorer to take shots away from KM/AB/Scola/Yao. When we need a scoring SF, we bring in Bud. 4. KM great through 3 quarters...he just needs encouragement to not shy away in the 4th. Maybe he might turn it around in the 4th. 5. Yao, his minutes will increase, however Hill is starting to look legit from a defensive end...as Hill gets more minutes, the less we worry about 24 minutes (Rick only played him 21 minutes) We have a great bench, but we also rely on the bench too much. Our starters need more time together.
The only positive thing I have to say is that my wife e-mailed me about 5:00 p.m. last night asking if I wanted to go to the game as she had been offered some tickets. I took one of my buddies who is also my next door neighbor, and he's a great neighbor.........he just has a tendency to drink a bit too much. We sat in row AA...........the peson DIRECTLY in front of me was Dennis Laviage ..........owner of C & D scrap metal. My neighbor was **** faced by the time we got into Toyota Center, and he continued to drink throughout the game. Several times during the game, he'd slur at the top of his voice.............."And we'll pay you in two dollar bills!!!" I'm not so sure Dennis was amused, but he did give my neighbor his card. Good times.
It's amazing that after 1 week of basketball played, how much optimism has turned into pessimism. Looking on the positive side, I think in '02 or '03 we started 5-1 and didn't make the playoffs..so lets see what week 2 and week 3 look like before we start writing the obituary of the Rox this season.
Are you sure? Errm we can win against GSW too but look what happened Hmm i wonder if you are gonna eat crow if we lose to them somehow ... Anything can happen.
