“The Son of God came into this world as a homeless person,” Pope Francis Looked Happier To Be With The Homeless Than With Members Of Congress
I love folks trying to play politics with his religion. The pope puts his spirituality first and the politics fall into place. Either your politics don't fall into line with the Pope's spirituality or they do. He's been a great example of a Christian in so much of what he's done.
It's funny how the non-Christians seem to really like this pope, while many Christians just find more to complain about.
It's funny how no one cared about the "look the other way while little kids are getting raped" Pope's politics or the Nazi Pope's politics but they are just eating up the Commie Pope's politics.
You have got to be in the running for the stupidest person ever in the BBS award. Seriously, all I have seen in every forum is pure moronic vitriol. It is almost at the point of being impressive. Truly.
No they didn't; I'd happily exchange the Death Penalty for a much higher standard for abortion rights, i.e. health risk to the mother... now there's a choice! I don't see the two as inextricably bound as in all likelihood the sanctity of life has already been trampled upon by the Guilty party facing the death penalty while the completely innocent babe doesn't even know she faces her own death with no recourse. At any rate, there are economic and procedural problems with the Death Penalty so I can live without it.
Why would he need to? His message was completely in line with the same message Jesus spoke of time and time again? That's way more important than just saying Jesus' name.
I don't know. From the biblical stories I've read, Jesus would care more about people spreading his message than shouting out his name.
When did the pope speak his message. The message of Jesus was all about you can only reach salvation by accepting him as your Lord and Savior. pope francis utterly failed at delivering that message.
Difference between your post and a pIle of sh -t: the latter serves a vital biological purpose, the former just looks bad.
No. Jesus mentioned several ways to reach heaven. One way he mentioned was on the cross when the man next to him asked to be remembered. Jesus said that man would already be there. So is the way Jesus mentioned to ask to be remembered? Or was it in Matthew when Jesus told his disciples that if they forgave they would be forgiven? So is it by forgiving others? Or was it in Matthew when Jesus told the rich man that if he sold his belongings to the poor he would have treasure in heaven? Or was it in Timothy when the bible tells us that women will be saved through childbirth? All of those ways to heaven are mentioned in the bible. The one prayer that Jesus actually tells people to pray is when he tells them to let it be done on earth as it is in heaven. So Jesus' actual message is much more about doing things on earth in loving forgiving way like it is in heaven.
Apparently this is quite controversial with American conservatives who are largely Christians. It's kind of frightening.
