I agree, I would love to see a season of NFL strike. It's the only major sports without recent labor issues and the players are getting the short end of the stick because of it. They need to start sticking up for themselves and just strike. Pro - games sucks anyways, to unpredicable, too much movement, no point even in following a team anymore.
but if i remember correctly, NFL players get a bigger piece of the pie than any other players in any sport.
A Newsday report is saying that the suspension is likely to be reduced. Now what is the Eagles' next move? http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_y...rBEK45nYcB?slug=eaglesowens&prov=st&type=lgns
Based on what? It sure isnt numbers. Nor how he changes the complexion of the game cause Moss does that better. And right about now, Owens makes Randy's attitude look good. Owens is top 5 for sure but not as good as Moss.
Game Over for TO - thank God, the arbitrator ruled the way he did. I just hope and pray that my team (the Broncos) don't sign this jackass. If they do, then I'll quit rooting for them until he is gone (which should be only 1 season).
Well that is what I think too but I saw this thing on ESPN where they acted like the Broncos would be the best fit for this punk. Granted ESPN is not the be all and end all (despite what they think), but just hearing "TO and Denver Broncos" together makes me cringe.
Denver is playing so well right now I dont think Shanahan will change anything. I obvoiusly dont like Shanny but I think he is smarter than that. Lelie and Smith have been doing good for you guys this year.
Hopefully the Eagles won't just release T.O. I hope they try to trade him, even if it is for a 7th round pick and a back up punter.
IMO, to qualify to be in the same class with Jerry Rice, it takes more than just talent and ability. Rice had plenty of turmoil in SF, particularly when Montana came back from injury and was officially demoted to backup QB. Rice never made waves, disparaged teammates, or caused problems. He was a consummate leader both on and off the field. TO may very well be the most talented receiver in the game today, but greatness requires more.
