    "Losing feeling on my throws"

But seriously, I hope it's just his injury that has caused his recent decline. Otherwise it would be a horrible way to go out with his 9th one-and-done. I would still take him on the Texans though...

If there isn't some injury that has impacted his throws, he needs to retire. He had zero zip on any passes today and he hasn't looked right for about 6 games straight.

Chicken parm you taste so good

Still would take him for the Texans. A washed up Peyton is better than anything we've ever had.

There's still a lot of people who think Peyton is the best QB of all time. He's a sure HOF and has had a great career but he is NOT the greatest of all time, not even close. GOAT talk should be reserved for players with consistent playoff success.

he should take a pay cut, but i still think he'll comeback to put up phenomenal regular season numbers. he played 'badly' in the last 4 games because the front sevens they played against absolutely brought it. i could easily say that in 2010 home opener against us, manning was done. but no, our front seven just happened to show up that one game and drain our hopes.

    and i'm not manning fan.

Understandable for Manning. Took the coward's way out. He would've been destroyed again in New England.

Didn't he say earlier this year he is playing next season.

I think he just needs more rest during the reg. season. Maybe the Broncos should look to sign a capable backup.

I remember I wanted manning but knew Texans would never in a million years do it. Instead, they decided to stick with schaub and look at where he's at now.

Smh, typical Texans. We could've won a Super Bowl. Texans really screwed themselves on that one.

I think he and Brady both said they will play until their bodies won't let them. Both health wise and quality.

He had a great start, and just started struggling mightily in the past month or so, and tonight. I think he got injured somewhere along the season (his ankle i remember in the 5th or 6th week).

It was similar to how Brady sucked so mightily in the first month and got his wind.

Manning just needs more rest. Broncos either need to get a capable backup to spot him a few games (Raiders for instance) and rely more on the running game.

Manning still has plenty of game.

For reference, here are his stats, split up at where he started to drop off:
    First 9 games of the season: 67.7% Comp., 323.5 YPG, 8.2 TD%, 1.9 INT%, 112.0 Passer Rating.
    Last 7 games: 63.9% Comp., 259.3 YPG, 4.1 TD%, 3.3 INT%, 86.4 Passer Rating
