    One innocent person tortured and killed, as the taxi driver whose story was posted here, is more than enough to revile the people who fostered an environment that encouraged such torture.

    Yeah, I totally agree. As a disenchanted conservative, I might be willing to vote for a democratic candidate along the lines of a Lieberman or Wesley Clark, but I will NOT vote for that witch Hillary Clinton if my life depended on it. The Republicans better come up with some good candidates for 2008 or they might lose out on the presidency; although, if Giuliani runs for the Republicans, he would be the guy I'd vote for in the elections.

    There were no Clinton sanctions. Are you referring to the UN sanctions?

    But there are people who vote solely on abortion... it is THE issue for them, presumably because of the morality. I'm that way when torture is policy and state-sanctioned.
