Astros see Correa’s market go stagnant and swoop in with a Twins like deal. Altuve, the humble team player that he is, cede’s 2B to Peña. Altuve is the new DH/LF.
I'm with you except for Bregman making the adjustment to 2B. Correa needs that rocket arm at 3B. I'm also expecting to see the 80 arm of Leon in CF this year.
Way too early outrageous prediction. Cerny makes his MLB debut as a Pinch Runner in the 2023 Playoffs. Probably for Abreu or Diaz.
DH/LF Altuve SS Peña LF/DH Alvarez 2B Bregman RF Tucker 1B Abreu 3B Correa CF McCormick C Narvaez BN Maldanado BN Hensley BN Brantley (Meyers or Diaz if Brantley isnt ready in March) BN Dubon If the Padres are doing it….
Altuve sets an MLB record -33 defensive runs saved in left field as fly ball after fly ball just eludes his tee tiny 5'4" reach.
After Alpi leads the Rockets to consecutive NBA titles. He joins the Astros as the tallest catcher in MLB history, using his footwork to baffle the umpires and set the MLB record for most walks in a single season. His hand eye coordination result in 80 home runs and 150 RBI’s. Verlander’s woman falls in love with him and they run off to spend their lives together in the Turkish countryside.
By years end Jake Meyers is viewed as a better player than Chaz and all of the potential targets we've discussed to address CF.
The members of Clutchfans realize they root for the same team and stop arguing with each other for three page over the same inconsequential matter, calling each other names and derailing threads. The members of Clutchfans will learn how to spell Chas, Vazquez and Maldonado. I know out of all the predictions in this thread, these two are the least likely to happen, but if @Marshall Bryant can dream of a lineup with Judge, Trout and Ohtani, I can dream, too.
Two more. Clutchfans members will turn off the "All Trades Accepted" mode off because realistically the Astros can't trade their spare parts for another team's All-Star. Clutchfans members will realize that you just can't simply move players to different positions that they've never played before (or very little) and expect everything to work out. (I still love this place. Hope it calms down at some point...at least until the trade deadline)
By years end Jake Meyers is viewed as a better player than Chas by most, and Chas has a higher WAR/PA than all of the potential targets we've discussed to address CF (with the exceptions of Varsho and Nimmo).
Chas McCormick cuts his strikeouts by 20%, gets 550 at bats and is a 4-5 WAR player that hits nearly 30 homers with an OPS of .800...
Matejevic cuts down his swing and miss and becomes our starting DH and HR threat. Crawford boxes take the pressure off starting his swing early. SHHHH. Nobody tell him that only helps on Oppo flyballs.
