I agree, SA got his payday. The Rocks treated him more than fairly. Bull will make more money. Mooch will survive. I know it is just business. It's what is best for team that counts in the end. Sadly it seems the Rocks are only loyal if it is in their "Best Interest" and a lie is as good as the truth, if you get enough people to believe it.

Where we disagree is in the fact that you think that CD and Rudy were lieing from the beginning, and I think they really wanted to keep the team togather. I think they changed their plans when it became clear that it was not going to happen with the contracts that the players were wanting and if they could not keep them all togather then they would make several changes.

Then if you are correct and they have lied from day one, they have put enough spin on it to convince me. But in my case it would not have been neccessary as I would be a Rocket fan anyway.

In the case of Mooch, I think he will have to override Fegan to sign here. I guess we will see how bad he really wants to be here.

What really irks me about this deal is, how many jumpshooters are too many? Just like last year when the jumper is falling we're pretty good, when its not we're not. We had the money and the space, obviously we had the shots too, why didn't we get Jackson? At 3 yrs 6 mill per, we could have had an inside presence and rebounder. For the price of Rice we could have had a player on most nights would have an advantage over some centers. How many teams could have a player avg 15pts 10 rebounds? If anyone thinks Rice would open the floor, what do you think an inside player would do?

The Rockets could have let Bull, Anderson, use some of the money on jackson and still has some to spare. 3 yrs from now if Jackson didn't work out, they would have cap room. If he did work, the rockets would have a francis(26),mobley(30),griffin(22),taylor(27)and jackson(29). They would have a team still young, but experienced at the same time.

I like Bullard's offense, however, I hate his defense more than his offense. Bullard's D and rebounding are an atrosicity.

Last season, teams immediately went one on one against Bullard and scored at will. I'm not hating on Bullard, however, his fans know it's the truth.

We should have gotten rid of Walt and kept Bullard. Walt's D and rebounding are worse.

    this thread is horrible.

CD and RT did Bull a FAVOR by not keeping him around and then possibly cutting him right before the season or stashing him on IR. They helped him get a contract with a good team.

His contract is NOT for $4.5 million. I'm sure it's $1 to $1.5 million.

the Rockets did not screw SA in any way, shape or form. He started every game for 2 years, as promised, and when it was time for Shandon to get paid, he GOT $42 MILLION OVER SIX YEARS by AGREEING to a S&T.

somebody put this thread out of its misery.

Your take was correct, mine was mistaken. CD got Bull the job at Charlotte. If they had lied, I'd still be a Rockets fan, just sad. I'm glad I was wrong. I've been a fan for over 20yrs. In that time, they haven't always been right, but Ive always been a fan.
