there are a lot of concerns. But him being an appeaser is certainly one of them. Trying to make everyone happy will put you in a bad situation. His testicular fortitude has been in question. that and the whole bigger govt, "spread the wealth" philosophy. Plus, having a Dem president with a Dem congress is scary...especially with pelosi up there.
How can you say that the most liberal candidate ever to attempt to be President is more "even keel"? I'm more worried about the fact that Obama wants to tax the crap out of the energy sector which should worry anyone that lives in Houston. The Obama crowd that watches his commercials and says "oh ain't he purdy and look he's gonna tax them rich folks and give me some money" have no idea what this country was founded on or why it became so great. This man will ruin our economy, his financial advisers came from the same Fannie Mae Freddy Mac idiots that got us in this mess. Obama recieved more money from these crooks than all but one politician in Washinton. He made millions that he used to buy media time off off the suffering of the people in this country who are losing their houses and hope. He used their money to buy a candidacy in which he plans to "spread the wealth". Please don't deny that these words have come from Obama's mouth. When your electric bill doubles because of the taxes that will be placed on the energy sector ask your self if you got taxed or not, the energy sector is not going to pay those taxes, you are. Next what will happen is everyone will cry out help help the energy company is charging too much "please mister guberment will you take that over too and help us". Democratic societies have a typical life cycle and the US has lasted longer than most. The end is always the same though. At some point the underprivileged minority figures out that they can vote in people that will give them free gifts from the government treasury and at that point democracy fails. Nobody deserves something that they didn't work for and the US has taken on a disgusting entitlement personality. This will be a sad day for our great nation and it will show that we are closer to the end of what made us great and that is, hard work and competition to be something more than we are. The government is not here to make your life better, that is your job.

I have no concern about Obama on foreign policy. I think he above all realizes that's how a lot of Presidents are judged historically, by how they handle foreign policy. Kennedy understood that and I'm sure Obama does as well. Kennedy and Cuba/Russia, LBJ and Vietnam, Nixon and China, Carter and the Middle East, Reagan and the Soviets, Bush and Iraq... that's how history views these characters. My concern is that he lets Pelosi and Reid set the agenda in Congress, especially Reid. Any Senator who would actually say the war is lost while we have troops in a war zone is not fit for public office. I would hope Obama's first act in office would be to replace Pelosi and Reid by pushing for new leadership within the Party. Congress has to be on the same page as Obama and I don't trust Pelosi and Reid not to go way off the deep end with crazy legislation that would hurt Obama's ability to unite the country. We need Congressional leadership that mirrors Obama's tone and message. Pelosi and Reid aren't it.
Your statement is completely useless except to expose the fact that you don't believe that this country was founded on hard work and a chance to make your own life better through your own efforts. Do you think our founding fathers were excited to make a place where they could give more in taxes to their guberment than they were already giving to the King in England? Taxes are the worst possible place for money to go in terms of a detrimental effect on our economy. Their is nothing that a citizen can do with his hard earned money that is detrimental to the economy except to give it to the government. He can spend it, he can invest it, he can put it in a bank and they can loan it to somebody else, but when he gives it to the goverment it is wasted.
Without Taxes there would be no roads, no colleges, no police, no fireman, no society. Taxes are a necessary fact of life.....the question is what are fair taxes. DD

I agree, they are. People think that income tax is all they pay. If you make enough money in this country to be in the 30% tax bracket you probably pay close to 60% in taxes, is that fair? There is nothing that you buy that isn't taxed, or licensed or subsidized and the guberment has proven time and time again that they are fiscally inept, look at our debt. If you knew a banker that constantly lost money would you want to give him more? The guberment created the economic problems we have today more is bad. These candidates are promising crap that they can't pay for with either of their plans. But any candidate that wants to "spread the wealth" is not only scary he is a a socialist. No guberment has the right to take my money and give it to somebody else... unless we give it to them. We are about to do that. Robin hood was a thief but at least he wasn't stealing from the people.
