I found myself listening to Radiohead there for a few months - luckily I came to my senses.

From my youth and they're still with me today. They are 3 of the most precious albums I own.

    http://www.thejudys.com/

You can listen to some of their songs on that site. Just click an album on the left and pick a song. (real audio)

Guilty. I was a junior in high school.

That careless whispers song was on all the time.

Uhhh. Guyana Punch is still a b****in' song, thank you.

    Your friends were clueless.

A really odd, happy song about the mass murder in Jonestown in the 70's.

I just put it on my myspace for those who haven't heard it.

I hadn't heard it in years.

Great idea for a thread. I'm beating myself up trying to think of a group (or individual) that no one liked but me, and that I got kidded for liking. So far, every candidate had at least one other fan that was a friend of mine, usually because I took the dude or dudette to see a concert by them. Hell, someone will come to me, eventually.

rhester, come on, man! Jimi and The Experience had huge numbers of fans in Houston from day one. At least among the counter-culture. What wackos ragged on you for lovin' him??

Funny. I remember when you could barely find this on vinyl. I used to jam on the old Prince and my pals didn't get it at all.

I was a big Generation X fan. I have never really known another. Now I know that they were pretty cheesey but they still had some great songs. I had to buy this album from the "import" section. This stuff really brings me back. Triumph would be the perfect song to hear right now.
