Try this online rental place - gameznflix.com. They've got competitive rates, quick shipping times and a decent Xbox 360 library. Forgot to add that they rent out games and movies.
I did...but I still don't have my XBOX . I was number 34 on the preorder list at Gamestop. They only got 18 and are supposed to get a shipment of 10-12 per week. I preordered and must wait 2 MORE WEEKS!!!!! Un-freakin-believable.
I got an extra one, I'll sell it to you. I've already got a bid in on it though so you might want to work quick.
I was listening to the High Tech Texan radio show on 950 Saturday. He said there was some site that had a list of how many units the various Best Buys were going to have. He said the BB near at Richmond/610 was stocked with something like 160 units. The BB in Sugar Land had only 44.
The number of units they give tell you when you call is usually from a computer screen with inaccurate and slow-to-update inventory. Politely ask them to check and even if they can hold the item for you. Always ask for the name.
Alex, I'll take the girl for $300 please... man, I think I'll wait and try my luck as I don't want to pay more than sticker...
Good call, because MS is making weekly shipments including the end of this week. http://www.usatoday.com/tech/gaming/2005-11-28-xbox-second-round_x.htm
Well Gamestop told me that they are getting in 360's one-by-one every few days - not on a once a week basis as some of the bigger stores. People are also bailing on the preorder list as they find it elsewhere & then spending their credit on games. Hopefully I'll get mine before Christmas. Anyone know of a good supply of them anywhere?
I'd go by Best Buy, Wal-Mart and Sam's every few days... Sam's is a sleeper, and since not just any joe blow can walk in is a great place to find one. Sam's also only sells the premium's at this point, in a bundle with an extra wireless controller and a play and charge kit for 450 bucks.
BANNED? Lame. "Uh oh a bunch of people pointing imaginary guns at each other like we did when we were 5! Better make sure no one sees this or there'll be rioting in the streets!"
I don't think it was banned as much as I think MS decided that it wasn't right for them. I'm the complete opposite of the "I don't want to offend anyone" crowd, but you have to look at it from a business standpoint... this would offend a few utopians out there who would raise hell and get craploads of press coverage over it for no reason other then it is controversial. While I would have loved to have seen that commercial, I certainly can't blame MS for not using it... it was probably more trouble then it was worth. With that said, I beat Call of Duty 2 last night on Veteran... WOW, that is the toughest gaming experience I have ever had, but I loved every minute of it!
@ Gamestop and EB keeping peoples pre-pay money when they cant deliver. Thats why I never pre-order from there. CLOWNS!!!
