Got mine yesterday as well (no thanks to freakin EB...I HATE THEM!!!!!!!! ).

Got to Sams Club in Clear Lake at 6:45 am and walked out with a 360 at 7:15 am!!

    SWEEEEET!!!!!

The system is freakin awesome. I have a Samsung DLP and it looks absolutely amazing.

I do have one problem though. I tried hooking it up at my dad's house and it wont work right. That is also an HDTV, but everything just shows up green.

Anyone know how I can fix that?

I had that problem with my HD hookup on my regular Xbox, 03.. you just need to keep fiddling with it, turns out I had plugged the cords into the wrong holes..

I'm glad some of you got your systems, but honestly, I can't see the reasoning behind going out and fighting tooth and nail for one of these things unless you're going to turn around and sell it for a hefty profit.

The games that come with systems when they initially come out always stink, or are mediocre at best. The systems are so insanely overrpriced at first too.. Usually the first ones out have a lot of defects in them too..

I guess it's a fever or something that overtakes certain gamers or people with too much time/money.

Me personally, I'm happy playing all my old xbox games on my regular xbox until I can nab a used system for super cheap, along with some good games.

Wow, I will for sure get a couple of PS3's. One for me, and one for some desperate sap that's willing to take out a second mortgage to get one.

I got my 360 yesturday morning... hooked it up to my 35" HDTV.

I got a bundle from circuit city(see first half of thread) which included Madden, Need for Speed, and Gotham Racing. I went to EB Games and traded in Gotham Racing for Quake 4.

First impressions is wow! I had already set it all up and saw it for 20 minutes when a friend of a friend offered me 1500 for it. I had to refuse. Maybe its the whole "hating the whole ticket scalper concept" or me wanting to keep it real, but for whatever reason, once I saw it- no way I could sell it off. If he had called 30 minutes earlier, then i would have done it, but once i saw how sick it was, no way!

Madden - they sripped out alot of the extras in franchise mode... if you hit pause, you can't see in game stats... no radio shows, etc that madden had on ps2... graphics are sick. gameplay is good. no play by play guy, its liek a dull radio announcer.

Need for Speed- the sound is insane. i have it hooked up to digitial 5.1 suerround and you can feel it. it you get hit on the right hand side, you hear it on the right. graphocs are unreal again.

Quake 4... WOW!!!!!! Thjis game is my favotie and i am normally a sports only gamer. I nearl sh*t myself when the guy jumped out of a wall to come after me. the surround sound really comes into play with this game. graphocs are great and i like the fact that its a mature rating with blood and cussing. an adult game...

Overall I love the unit. I wish you could incorporate you own music into the games, I suspect this feature will come into play in some new games. awesome awesome awesome. my girl was even impressed with the graphics and the sound. Everyone has mentiond the hi-def graphiocs but i have not heard people say how great the sound is.

    My two cents....

    :)

That makes no sense. You just convinced me to get in line (with all my buddies, ex girlfriends, parents, siblings, neices, nephews and bums off the street) and grab as many PS3's as possible to re-sell.

Speaking of the PS3, I wonder if stores like Best Buy will honor their word and give you store credit for the updated PS2 that were purchased last Christmas.

Now that I think about it, will the demand for the PS3 be as high (as far as saps willing to pay so much to get them early) since it's not Christmas?

Well, honestly it was legit, but very deceptive. It had a nice layout for the Xbox 360 with pictures and a Buy It Now price of $699. It made it look like you were buying the whole system, but if you read the fine print it said, Get this holliday's #1 gift box. Then it listed all of the items.. 20GB hard drive, wireless remotes, etc.... then under it was printed items not included.

So basically people were paying $699 for a Xbox Box. LOL!

OK, my impressions after getting a halfway decent playing night in last night...

    What I got:
    Premium System
    Madden
    NBA2K6
    Perfect Dark Zero
    2nd Wireless Controller
    2 Play & Charge Units

The system itself is slick. There is just so much on the dashboard itslef, it's a lot to comprehend. From options for videos, music, connecing to a PC, XBOX Live, Media Center, etc, etc; there is certainly a lot to play around with on the system without a game in it.

I haven't transferred my XBOX Live account over to it yet, so I can't comment on their online marketplace and stuff.

The controllers are great! They took out the black and white button and replaced them with shoulder buttons, so that is a little different. But, the thing just "fits" in your hands. The wireless aspect of it works perfectly.

The Play & Charge kits are great as well. It basically plugs your controller into the USB slot on the system and charges the battery for it. You can either let it sit there for a while and charge, or you can let it charge while playing.

MADDEN: This game is slick. Thats all I can say. From the menus to the graphics, everything says "next-gen". Saying that, I haven't been floored by the game and haven't experience any "aw" factor as of yet. But, this is a totally different game (with different controls) than the current-gen game, so my focus has been on just trying to figure out how to play. Did play a game against the Packers, who kicked a FG with 42 sec. left to go up 13-7. The next kickoff, Jerome Mathis broke it for a 94 yrd. TD to win the game. :p

NBA2K: This game has gotten lower ratings everywhere for being a "port" from the current-gen systems. And, for the most part, I guess you can say that. Though they didn't make any major changes in gameplay, all the little ones they did make makes a HUGE difference IMO. The game plays just like real life. The AI is smarter, the animations are seemless, and the whole flow of the game is almost perfect. The game already had a good system in place, so there was no need to build it from the ground up on the 360. The graphics are amazing. I have had certainly a lot of wow factor with this game. I still couldn't beat those damn Mavs last night.

I haven't even had the chance to open Perfect Dark Zero, let alone play it, so can't say anything about that. Though, I hope to get a little time in today.

I really love this system. Is it worth the $400? I think so. I'm happy with my purchase and look forward to what they will be able to do with this bad boy in the coming years.

That auction looks shady. I bet the buyer had the bid set high to avoid snipers, and the seller got someone to artificially inflate the price. If you look at the bid history, there was a buyer with no experience inflating the price $1000 at a time.

Pretty shady... sucks for the buyer.

Speaking of XBOX scams, this one is pretty good:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62054&item=8236133757

"This auction is for PREMIUM GRAPHICS of a xbox 360. The photos include Call of Duty 2, Kameo, Project Gotham Racing 3 and more! Acessories shown include wireless controller, Remote Control and the xbox core system!! This auction is for a photo!"

The "photos" went for $1025. The buyer is screaming murder on the feedback. So sad...
