i cant believe i never considered getting the wii, im actually really excited about it now. i wasnt able to get a ps3 cause of work but after all the problems and sub par reviews im relieved i didnt waste all the money/time. i loved zelda back in the day and in college monkey ball was my favorite! so the wii sounds perfect for me now. i just gotta go to toys r us tmrw night and hope there will be enough, if not i think i could get one in the morning from sams club maybe? i havent done research but i keep reading about some component cables? can someone let me know about these...i have samsung hd dlp tv so def want the best, whats the deal
the component cables are sold out, go back through and look at some of my posts for my experience attempting to get some. look at my most recent ones for the fun.
That sucks seclusion If it's any consolation though, your fellow CF.net-er got his cables in today (they're at home waiting for me) My Wii won't be coming in until Monday at the earliest.
I have to agree; Gamespot is usually the place I agree with the most. This dude's Zelda review is odd, though; I only watched the video one but to see someone actually complaining about stuff that are practically traits of the Zelda series is strange. It doesn't happen often, but I guess this is just one of those reviewers that has vastly different tastes than I. A 10 for a Tony Hawk sequel? Yeah, we're on different wavelengths. Ah well; I still like Gamespot fine.
least someone got them. I mean...it's not the end of the world I guess...at least I still get to play tomorrow night but, it's almost like...not even doing the games justice if it's not in progressive...ah well.
For anybody thinking about getting Red Steel... Gamespot Review IGN says they will have their review up sometime tomorrow night. Unless it scores really high on there, I think I'm going to have to pass on it and maybe get Call of Duty 3 instead.
ouch, I wasn't expecting much...but...well...after all the stuff I read I expected mid 70s...so much for that stuff.
Yep. I was expecting at least a 7.0 5.5 didn't even cross my mind as a possibility, so much that when I saw it my heart kind of sank. Sounds strange to have that kind of reaction to a video game review, and for a game that I was only marginally interested in, but it's more of a feeling of disappointment for the developers. It was the first Wii game ever shown and the production has been followed very closely every step of the way. All for a steaming pile of crap. Sucks to be UbiSoft Paris right about now. (except for the fact that the game "looks" cool and people will buy it anyway, at least initially)
I don't even know how they made a game that bad...most of ubisoft's stuff turns to gold lately...they were going to be the first exclusive fps out on a system with a controller that is BUILT for fps, they had a wide open slam dunk...and blew it. oh well. here's to waiting for metroid prime3...or for some other developer to step it up.
To add insult to injury, I think the game had a budget of over $10M too. At least it is still better than Rampage, although just barely (going by review scores anyway).
hhahahhahahahaha. well, they're screwed. if they could make something that horrible with that much money, they deserve to be shut down.
I think it'll sell a lot just because its a launch title and people have seen it in the clips. I can't believe it took 10 million to make that game. Wii dev costs are supposed to be cheaper.
If it helps, I just got off the phone with the Toys R Us doing the midnight release in Houston and they said there are already 2 people in line and the store is expecting about 100 units. I'm gonna check throughout the day to see how early I may need to get there before th queue fills up...
just because wii dev costs are cheaper does not mean there will not be games with big budgets. generally those will be the better games as per the usual. red steel just happens to be the equivalent of water world...or maybe duke nukem forever is that, if it ever comes out that is. I will die of shock if there is more than 30-40 people waiting by 10pm
