for what its worth the toys-r-us out here in la the lady said that they'd be getting in a shipment of wiis this week to sell on sunday, the 11th. she said that they should get in around 80. this is the one here in L.A. so i dont know if they would give that store a higher lot due to a big market. but i think its going to be a national ad/sale.

i cant believe there are gamestops that have ps3s, but not a single one as a wii. i went to the gamestop at willowbrook and i heard some chick say that they got some wiis at Frys Electronics..
PS3s are dying on the vine.....compared to the Wii....even the Xbox 360 is doing better than the PS3. DD

Maybe they'll consider putting GTA on there at some point, though I would imagine it would be a port using the classic or GC controllers.
2 things, nintendo has already stated they would welcome the GTA franchise on the wii. for #2...when was the last time you heard of a game coming out for the wii port or otherwise that used the classic / gc controllers if it wasn't a virtual console game? don't say smash brothers either.
At the very least, I don't see why Rockstar couldn't port over the GTA games they were putting on the PSP/PS2 (kind of like they're doing with Manhunt 2 and what Ubisoft is doing with PoP IIRC). I can't remember if GTA:SAS was ever announced/confirmed, but that would be an easy way to bring GTA to the Wii (plus easy money).
It's kind of hard for there to be a last time since the thing came out so recently and there aren't many games, but it has already been stated that there will be straight ports that won't take advantage of the Wii remote.
again, when was the last time you've ever heard one announced? there hasn't been, and I doubt there will be for the forseeable future if ever. what you don't realize is that any publisher will have the common sense to understand that doing something like that -- unless your franchise is something along the lines of gta [which is the exception, rather than the rule...not to mention, they wouldn't do this], would be just plain stupid. they would be shooting themselves in the foot to do something like that. no one will buy it.
Like I said, it was stated that there will be some straight ports that won't take advantage of the Wii remote. This is not my opinion and I'm not trying to prove a point or have the last word, this is what people from Nintendo and the big developers have said. Iwata himself said the classic controller would be used for "multi-platform games," IE games on more than one system. Why might they do this? I don't know, because it is a cheap way to put out a non exclusive title on the Wii since the classic controller has pretty much all the same buttons as the ps2/ps3 controller. Are there games already announced that will do this, I don't know and I don't give a flying f*ck. I just related some info that was stated at E3, I'm sorry if I can't provide you with a transcript or a cost-benefit analysis of why some developers would want to do this.
Doing all the brutal killing in a Manhunt game with the remote will be getting a lot of attention. Not all of it good. Might be fun.
