Just got thru 4 hours of playing Wii Sports. Great stuff. Still haven't convinced my wife to play with me though Hope you get yours soon.
After reading this post, I went to Best Buy in Lake Charles after work yesterday and they were putting them out when I walked in. I got one and Zelda. This thing is awesome!!
I heard the WestU Electronics has a bunch of them and PS3s. My friend just walked in and bought both with no wait
It's on University on I geuss what u could consider "downtown west U". Its fairly new. I think that's the name but I'm not 100%. It's right next to West U elementary. If u continue down University u cant miss it.
I just got my replacement straps...they're definitely thicker than the old ones, a lot less likely to break.
I ordered mine and I got the confirmation email...how long did it take to get your straps? These kite strings that are on there now are looking pretty frayed. DD
couple weeks I believe. I didn't pay too much attention to it, I mean mine never came close to breaking...but then again I'm not an idiot like some of these people. I'll always take a free improvement though.
After a month plus of hunting, I finally stumbled upon a Wii! Woo-hoo! The quest has ended! My story: Yesterday, my wife and I (currently in NYC) waited in line at Best Buy, thinking they'd have Wiis to sell. We were #8 in line. Well, they only had PS3s for sale, so I gave my ticket to someone else and headed uptown to Nintendo World. There were probably 50+ people in line when I got there, but I stuck around, anyway. Everyone (75+ when they opened the door) shuffled into the store, and the employees then announced that they did NOT have any Wiis to sell (one of the few days they had zero in stock). Suffice to say, there were 75+ angry people in the store. Remembering a post on Fatwallet I saw, I next went over to FYE a few blocks away. Lo and behold, they had 5 Wiis in stock. Score! Getting one was beyond ridiculous, though, as they were secretive about the whole affair and had to "clear" me up the chain of command before deeming me worthy enough to purchase one of their prized units. I unfortunately had to purchase one of their crappy games with it, too, but oh well. So, afterwards, I headed back to Nintendo World and scooped up Zelda and an extra Remote + Nunchuck. Man, I feel empty inside now without the thrill of the chase. What will I do with myself? Oh, yeah, play Zelda...
Congrats. I've barely scratched the surface of Zelda but I've been playing Madden with a buddy and it sure is fun. The graphics aren't too impressive but the gameplay rocks.
I finally opened up Zelda yesterday and ended up playing it for more than 6 hours. I really like it so far. But it's back to reality now so I won't have as much time to play
I'm going crazy. I can't seem to find any Wiis anywhere. The last two days, I've had a couple different guys tell me they don't expect to get any in until late January. Has anyone else heard this? Am I spinning my wheels here?
My wife went to Nintendo World on Christmas Eve and got one without waiting for too long. Seems a lot of people had showed up the day before and been told there would be no more shipments for 2006. Score for me!
