I just signed up for www.itrackr.com . It scans the inventory of some of the stores and will say if they have any in stock. I will be checking this in the morning for a more recent update of the Wiis.
I've got more DVD players than I know what to do with as it is. Finally got to give the Wii I got off of Craigslist to my kids Christmas morning, and man, did we have a blast! My 11 year old daughter was kicking our butts at bowling... bowled a 190! It's so realistic. I haven't been able to bowl for years because of my back, and when I finally loosened up and started to fire the ball down the lane, like I used to, I started getting strikes. It's FUN! Boxing was the only sport I didn't get into. They need to work on that. All the rest had me salivating for more sophisticated versions that will no doubt be at a store near you before you know it. The Wii is a homerun. No doubt about it!
Is this service pretty good? I'm willing to sign up for it, but I don't want to spend my money if they don't get wind of the Wiis in stock until they've been there for a day.
It's free if you just sign up for the site. You only pay if you want updates on your phone or whatever.
Yeah, I saw that...which means if you want it, you will need to buy another Wii. Did anyone else order the Component cables so the Wii can broadcast in 480p? Mine come in today, and I will let you guys know how much of a difference it makes. DD
I just tried it and they dont list Best Buy and that's what I have gift certificates to. It did say the EB games by Baybrook has some.
Damn, the site says the EB/Gamestop stores update slowly. However, from other reports on the web, the other stores seem to be very recent when they update.
Yeah, I do not think that will be too helpful since it is almost all EB and Gamestop stores that it lists for me.
Just wanted to post an FYI- I ordered replacement straps through Nintendo's web page two weeks ago and the already came in. Good job, big N!
Has anybody played Super Swing Golf yet? Awesome game. It's a lot harder than Wii Sports Golf in that it's a lot easier to slice and hook the ball. You really have to watch how you swing and adjust your swing accordingly. I think it could actually improve your game if you played golf for real...
Best Buy has some Wii's in stock at the moment. I walked in to get something else and I saw a lady walking around with a Wii box. Asked them and they brought one out for me. Gave it to my brother.
Call of Duty is good but I'd say it's a rental. I also like Madden quite a bit. The control adds a lot to the gameplay IMO. Rayman's Raving rabbits is an OK party game but is all fluf and has very little replay value. My 4 year old son likes Cars because he can drive Lightning McQueen.
Thanks for the heads up. I went to Best Buy on 290@Hollister but they sold their last one 30 minutes before me. I went to the Target next door and they had some earlier too but were out. So I drove to the Best Buy on 1960@249 and they had 5. I bought two extra remotes too. Saving the last one to get with the Wii Play when it comes out. They had no nunchucks. There are 4 consoles left if someone's quick enough to get it.
And thanks to sitting in traffic on 249 for 20 minutes without moving I gave up. Tried the Best Buy that was closer to me on I-45 but no dice.
