You are correct, sir. Except that I don't have much trouble with golf now that I've given it a little practice. And as another poster said above, I too haven't taken the shrink wrap off of Zelda. Wii Sports has me busy at the moment and knowing that Zelda is truly epic, I want to start it only when I'm good and ready for the long haul with minimal distraction. I also rented Red Steel, which sucked horribly bad at first. Probably like a 4/10. Then I MADE myself try it again last night and while the controls are still VERY BAD, I can get around well enough now that I can actually enjoy the rest of the game a little bit. It's turned into a good rental, but I wouldn't buy it. Probably just below a 7.0 from me after a few hours.
Oh my god, I picked up Zelda today because my buy.com order is backordered. I'll see you guys in 3 weeks.
According to several Best Buys in Austin, they will be receiving a Wii shipment this Saturday night. Thus, I would suggest getting there early on Sunday if you really want one.
Does anyone know what time gamestops that are not in a mall plan on opening on Friday? I figure that if it is just a lone store not in a mall, if you show up at opening you might be able to get one.
Royal Oaks told me they will open at 7am Friday. They said to get there early because they had told a lot of people about some Wii's being available then.
Here's a nice 'Tips and trick' page from the wiichat.com forums with some useful stuff, like adjusting the wii remote's volume. link
Thanks. I think my brother's found a hidden, useful talent that nobody knew he had, creating celebrity Miis that look pretty good.
No Wii's today at Toys R Us, Gamestop, and Best Buy up on FM 1960@249. Gamestop on FM 1960@290 didn't have any either. Anyone have luck on the one at Royal Oaks? I know they had some but you probably had to be there early.
I was wondering the same thing about Royal Oaks. I called the one on Grand Parkway/59 with no luck. I keep hearing the Sugar Land Best Buy will have some Sunday, but who knows what time they actually put them out.
Well my brother bought his Wii over to the family Thanksgiving dinner. It reminded me of when Atari 2600 first came out. Everyone in my family was taking turns playing 2 player Wii Tennis including my 60+ year old parents and Aunts etc. It was great. I think it is really a historic milestone. I watched my little cousin play a little Zelda but I wanted to wait until I have the game myself. I will probably wait a couple of months to get the console myself.
Just spent an hour and a half in line at the Gateway Best Buy in Austin. They sold out of Wiis before I even got inside. F*** me. My wife and I watched as dozens of families walked out of the store with pretty much every individual family member holding their own Wii. What total and utter BS. I wanted to say something to the father of each family that did that, but my wife stopped me from making a scene. Now it looks like I probably won't be able to get one until at least after Christmas. I am highly annoyed.
I got to Best Buy at 9:25 and they passed out the vouchers 30 sec before I got there. I was the first person to NOT get a voucher and the person in front of me got there a min before I did. Gamestop and EB are suppose to get some on Tuesday.
I got to my Best Buy at 11:00 last night and got my voucher with only maybe 5 or 6 left on his Voucher Stack of Doom. Camping out was fun just for the experience, I guess.

Looks fun, Faos. Slowly, I'm trying to drop some hints to my girlfriend to try and get me one for Christmas. I don't know if she has that kind of money or not, but we'll see.
