Really, is that what other Game Stops are saying? She said they would be selling more today or tomorrow or whenever she gets the next shipment in.. I guess I got lucky..
There are 11 different frequencies/channels on 802.11b/g. However, only 3 of them are non-overlapping with the other channels. That means you don't have to share the bandwidth. So the different channels only serve to prevent overlap with other wireless channels that might be in your vicinity. For users at home that isn't usually a problem. Not sure why changing channels would solve peoples problem other than there is something wrong in the code.
The unfortunate thing - and I really didn't think about it being unfortunate until a couple of days ago because I wasn't planning on it to begin with - is that I would have to go out on Black Friday to get one. I always swore I would never go out on Black Friday. But between this, and if I find a good deal on an HDTV, I may have to break that promise.
I just called the Gamestop that ClutchCity got his from, near Royal Oaks. They said they have 6 in but they have to wait until Friday to sell them. Guess he got lucky.
I called the Best Buy on Gessner/59...he said they didn't know when they would be coming in...they just come in on a FedEx truck. But for some reason he knew the BB in Sugar Land would have some Sunday.
can someone answer this... If I need a second controler for both kids to play to I need 2 different parts. The controller itself and the nunchuck attachement? What is the nunchuck attachment used for?
Certain games use the nunchuk. It just depends on the game. I don't think any of the Wii Sports pack in ones uses it. You'll want to have it eventually, but it all depends on the game.
Wii Boxing requires it. The other 4 sports games do not. If you're JUST looking to get the system set up with Wii Sports (and you don't care about boxing) then you will just need 2 remotes. No nunchucks. Although you do get 1 nunchuck in the box.
I'm addicted to Wii Boxing.. I haven’t even taken the shrink wrap off Zelda yet, the Sports pack is so much fun by its self even in single player..
wii boxing registers like ****...bowling, baseball, tennis, and even golf are all better...and golf has it's issues as well.
I think the important thing to remember here is Wii Sports really shows the potential of the Wiimote and Wii system; it provides a foundation, nothing more. All these games are fun, but major tweaking and enhancements would have to be done to create a sim sports game, which I would think would be the ultimate goal here. And if Wii Sports shows the potential, then Super Monkey Ball shows the capabilities; from baseball and golf, to darts, paragliding, flying, scooping fish, fps, racing, ring tossing, etc...the list goes on and on.
My friend picked up a Wii from a Game Crazy in Denton. They got a shipment that day, I also picked up a PS3 from a EB Games in Austin who also got a shipment that same day. Your best shot is to just keep calling different stores.
