I'm roasting one turkey, frying another, mashed Y gravy, green beans, corn, pecan and chocolate pie, football and then probably some poker... all while drinking heavily. thanksgiving is good.
My daughters first thanksgiving. I see lots of pics in our future. We're having a bunch of other energy industry houstonian transplants in nyc over for a big dinner..two of the guys have to trade power Thanksgiving night so we'll be eating right after the Miami game so they can cut out on time. Then I need to find a sportsbar that has NFL network so I can officially say goodbye to Jake the Snake and start counting down the days til the best QB in the 2006 draft gets his first NFL start. Friday-Sunday....football, show friends around nyc, and chill with the family. Going to see Jets and Texans on Sunday. I would also like to see Borat this weekend.
Who says Turkeys do not have feelings, especially when Thanksgiving is coming up? http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061123/ap_on_fe_st/turkeys_train Turkeys try to catch train out of N.J. RAMSEY, N.J. - Some wild turkeys, it appears, were trying to get out of New Jersey before Thanksgiving Day. A spokesman for the NJ Transit said train officials reported a dozen or so wild turkeys waiting on a station platform in Ramsey, about 20 miles northwest of New York City, on Wednesday afternoon. The line travels to Suffern, N.Y. "For a moment, it looked like the turkeys were waiting for the next outbound train," said Dan Stessel, a spokesman for NJ Transit. "Clearly, they're trying to catch a train and escape their fate." Transit workers followed the bird's movements on surveillance cameras. "I have no idea how they got there," Stessel said. A Ramsey police dispatcher said the department had received three calls about the traveling turkeys who also were blamed for causing morning rush hour traffic problems on a roadway. "From time to time, I've heard calls that there are turkeys on the loose," said Erik Endress, president of the Ramsey Rescue Squad, a volunteer group. "Maybe they're trying to make a break."
Who's watching the Macy's Thanskgiving day parade on NBC? I'm recording it and looks like their camera's are not clean, little blurry i guess due to frost. Damn.
I'm kicking back taking it easy before I go to my relatives who are having a fully catered Thanksgiving dinner. I usually like to cook something, like stuffing, but I've been remodelling my kitchen so my range isn't even hooked up. Sorry FFB I'm just having a dull day.
My son's first here. We've just finished the photo shoot. Now if we could just pry him out of Grandma's hands for a bit...
you know what sucks? being sick on thanksgiving and being in charge of frying the turkey. i'm gonna start drinking.
