Hmm, maybe Walsh isn't a complete idiot after all. He got some nice pieces in Rodriguez and Eddie House. I think the Robinson-House swap was an idiotic move by the Celtics. House has proven he can contribute as the third guard on a championship team while Nate Robinson has proven nothing (except short ppl dunking will always garner high scores in the dunk contest). Even D'Antoni hated Robinson and I don't think D'Antoni is a hard coach to get along with.
David Lee is like a more skillful version of Landry. The guy is undersized, can shoot the long jumper, get to the basket easily, and can rebound.
Knick fans must be happy with the energy the new guys are bringing. McGrady looked good out there, especially his passing. He just needs to get his stamina back.
David Lee is some talent.. if he plays with a legit playmaker (not T-Mac necessarily).. he is gonna score a truck load of points.. We should net him next year
David Lee reminds me of Zach Randolph in terms of skills and style of play. I'm not talking selfish/trouble making Randolph but the guy that's a 20/10 threat every night with a sweet jumper that can bang and finish with the left.
Thus far Mcgrady showing he can still play little bit. His ability to pass and run the pick and roll evidently didnt deteriorate with his explosiveness. He's shown he still can handle the ball, draws fouls, and maybe even drive to the hole a bit. That said, he does looks slow and rusty especially on defense. While Mcgrady has been good offensively, hes also shown that hes not likely to help them win anymore games this year (not that it matters much). The reason being, hes obviously not in game shape (no surprise, 1+ yr layoff, micro surgery etc) hes the opposite of hustle, is likely going to be a big defensive liability and simply just not good enough (or close to) to being able to help this horrid knicks team.
Anyone else think T-Mac just looked a lot more active for this second run? maybe we should of tried that.
