The Knicks were desperate for that trade whether he could play or not. The Knicks have been losing for the past 2 seasons just for this summer. Had the Knicks not got that trade done everything they had been planning was in jeopardy and every person in that organization would probably be out the door. That trade was going to get done with or without a healthy Mcgrady.
the trade was for the expiring . nothing else. but respect for Adelman and Morey. I thought T-mac looked ok in those 7 minutes stretches. but looks like RA was right on the money. good job. thank you for shipping him outta here
Off topic but from the NBA.com game recap, this is what Randolf had to say about David Lee: "He's a major talent," Randolph said of Lee. "The sky's the limit for him. He's left-handed. He's like me. He reminds me of me. They call him the white me." I somehow found this quote hilarious. http://www.nba.com/games/20100227/MEMNYK/gameinfo.html?ls=gt2hp0020900874
Then why would Jordan wants a low efficient broken player with no d, huge ego, loud mouth, with a bunch of lousy followers that crap on every team Tracy has been with?
I love people's poignant commentary, "it's the second game of a back to back." Damn. T-slack somehow has brainwashed or hypnotized some of you idiots with that crooked eye into thinking that playing whenever he feels like is acceptable. Glad that didn't fly with Morey and Adelman.
Either that double post is brilliant because of the repeat thing, or I'm totally thinking too much
Ok guys it is time to tell the truth. After being a big McGrady fan for years, now I am turing into 'a hater' position. It is very difficult to be his fan, it really is. It is even more difficult to defend the guy. First of all. He can't play. The funniest thing is, while sitting out in Chicago he was saying he is ready to play and play at the high level. Once he got a chance, he proves he can't do it. He had two very good games, but come on. I remember him saying in the summer 'Tim is gonna make me jump like during Raptors days'. That is just silly. If someone says he is ready that means he can play in every game, and play as many minutes as the coach wants him, even 48. He is making himself look like an idiot with his every comment. He is always honest and that makes him even worse. Words like I didn't have confidence or It wasn't gonna be my night are just stupid. He has to finally shut up. Do not say anthing. The way he is acting in NY is unbelivable. I can't belive that as great franchise as the Knicks are, just let him do that. Really it looks like it is his team and he decides what he is gonna do. And the only reason for that is Mike D'Antoni who is a complete idiot. He doesn't care. Every other coach after a game like that would sit Tracy with no hesitation. I hope it will happen one day but I know it is not likely with D'Antoni as a coach. I just hope the Knicks will fire him and someone else would give Tracy a lesson. Because he needs a lesson and he will get it. It is just a matter of time. It will either happen this season, or during 2010 offseason. Teams in the NBA have scouts and they see everything. And after acting like that I am pretty sure no one would sign him next year just for chemistry reasons. Because the guy will sure break your chemistry. T-Mac is done in the NBA. His body has given up on him and he is not a person who is gonna fight through it. He is just gonna let it go. Yesterday he called it a night but he will cal in a carrer in the next few months. I am sure about that. One more thing, I feel so sorry for Tim Grover. His reputation is in serious danger.
Mac will be balling in a couple of weeks. Yes, he thought he was in good enough condition to play more. He was wrong. He's pushing his limits now. His legs are getting used to the game. Soon enough, he will have that explosiveness. I know the feeling. He has no reason to think he can't play and then suddenly your legs dissapear on you. I am HIGHLY impressed so far, despite the games missed. He will need another 2-3 games to get his legs back and then he will start ballin.
It's tough for anybody to get a job. Even for a former double scoring champ to interview for the job. He cannot say he's not sure if he can play at a high level. Coming back from major injury that ruined many athletes their career, Tmac's situation is no exception. Mike D'Antoni said it time and time again, on some days he will play like the Old mac, in some games he will flat out suck.
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/recap?gid=2010022718 New York picked up McGrady last week in another move that was salary driven, and he is still playing his way back into shape after microfracture knee surgery last February. He went 25 minutes Friday night in a win at Washington, and D’Antoni said before the game he hoped McGrady could go that long again, but would leave it up to the player. Instead, McGrady didn’t play in the second half, going scoreless and missing all three shots. He said the knee was nothing to worry about, just that he realized early on it wasn’t going to be his night. ??? So when you realize that after missing your first 3 shots it's not going to be your night you can opt to ride the bench??? Coaches and teammates gotta love that. Do you TMac fans not see that he is a monumental quiter?
The guy's attitude is indefensible. Thanks to Les/Morey/Adelman, we can watch McGrady's act from afar. I wonder how much patience D'Antoni will have.
I can't agree more the guy is crazy! he acts as if he was the boss of the Knicks! it's sadly funny to see T-Mac acting like that but we as we know him for so long we know that the guy cannot shut his mouth and acts like a child D Wade even if he suffers from a lotta things never said smg like this T-Mac career's gonna end soon
