Depends on the situation. With his injury history, it was probably a smart idea for Tmac to decide to not go back in.
Michael Jordan would come back in If it was a damn streetball game... If Tracy was getting tight, he should have jumped on the bike instead of sitting on the bench...No excuses.
T-mac should become a 6th man guy. Since he can't handle the extended minutes because he's mentally weak and a crybaby. But he'd definitely win the 6th man of the yr award if he played 25-30 mins a night with that kind of efficiency.

he looked much better/more mobile vs wizards (judging from the highlights ie) . and I agree with LCII.. he can be a legit sixth man if his ego can take it.
You serious? Do you even know what it's like to be a fan of a team? Why don't you go to the Knicks board and ask whether they care about this season? Why don't you go ask the fans at MSG who cheered loudly as the Knicks barely lost to the Thunder whether they want to win or not. But then again, you've obviously never cheered for a team before. Now go watch some more 1st halves of Knicks games to get your T-Mac fix.
Yeah he could thrive in a manu type role.he can still flatout score and in the second unit he would get 16 to 18 shots a night. 22 points off the bench in 27 or so minutes easily.
From the NY Post With 2:32 left in the third quarter, McGrady sat down after having logged 25:33, but coach Mike D'Antoni let him stay on the bench too long. When D'Antoni wanted to go back to McGrady with 3:38 left in regulation during a timeout, the guard shook his head no. McGrady clearly was fine with how his first win played out and how smooth he looked for three quarters. McGrady made light of turning down D'Antoni's invitation. A lot of you make it sound like McGrady wasn't interested in playing, and was just ready to head to the showers and hit the NY clubs. D'Antoni: T-Mac, I need you to go back in and get us the win. McGrady: Nah, I'm good, coach. I'm ready to head out, so you take care of it for me.
If McGrady could develop that spot up 3 like Jason Kidd has, he could be a big part of a contending team. I think that's really holding him back. No good team will keep running their offense through him for obvious health reasons. He just isn't athletic enough to dominate the ball anymore. Maybe he can prove me wrong and eventually gain that explosiveness back but right now he looks more like an old SF than an athletic SG.
This just shows how talented this guy is, he's not even explosive and still makes it look so easy. If he continues to get his knee stronger and regain some of his explosiveness he definitley will become an elite player again.
This tells you that the Knicks aren't taking things seriously. THe coach ASKS the player if he wants to play in crunchtime, player declines, no punishment handed out. Typically, coaches don't ask. They tell their players to get off the bench and check in. The knicks and mcgrady are all just one big exhibition game.
LOL...why would you compare Tmac to Kobe or MJ? Is there anybody out there who is doing this comparison beside yourself? Its possible for fans of Tmac like myself to live knowing that he won't ever come close to Kobe and MJ. I don't think its possible for haters such as yourself.
