I don't think they did. T-Mac wanted more than 7 mpg. NY granted his wish. If T-Mac was willing to "take it slow", we'd never have our fiasco in the first place.
I'm kinda hoping MerGady will do great things in NY for the rest of this season. A few game winning shots against bottom feeder teams and pretty decent numbers. ...only for NY to run out of cash after they get their stars and not willing to give MG any time of day. Then eventually the Bucks, Pacers, or Timberwolves sign him to a vet min, resulting in him fading into oblivion. No one will even notice him retire after a season with them.
Though I thoroughly disagree with your sentiments, I'm going to rep you for your creative spelling of McGrady''s name and initials.
For all who missed it. pay attention to his last shot of the game. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZqBXjTNTS4c&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZqBXjTNTS4c&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
It looks like he hyperextended it. I cringed a bit, I thought the knee was going to go Greg Oden on us.
yeah he should have probably played very limited minutes for a few months to test the knee out. Increasing them only after he was totally ready......oh wait.
He looks slower with less explosiveness than he did BEFORE the microfracture. Weird because I really thought he looked alright in his limited time for the Rockets this season but watching him right now I have to keep making sure my computer isn't messing up because he looks like he is moving in slow motion.
Look, though I didn't want him to be a Rocket anymore, I don't have any ill-will towards the guy...HOWEVER Those of you whining about him playing limited minutes as a Rocket, despite him saying "I'm ready to go", look pretty stupid right now
Yeah, that was my first thought too...that drive to the basket in the 2nd half, Im very surprised nobody on the Bucks cut him off and stopped him from getting to the rim. I know for a fact I can drive faster than that.
Is he ready to go though? I dont think it will be apparent for another few weeks. If the guy is in and out of the lineup because of soreness, he's not "ready to go".
I think that's the point. People were whining that he was playing limited minutes even though he was saying, "I'm ready to go." The point is that he wasn't ready to go at all... Not with the more than tripled minutes, anyway.
It's very clear that he can not get past his man anymore, he's going to have to make much tougher shots since he cannot clear space. One telling play was when he went away from Lee's screen, then had to come back to use it to get separation. I have to wonder if he was going to play Boston even before he tweaked the knee. Last year, it was noticeable to me that he consistently sat out games that were going to be tougher matchups. He skips the Celtics to face the Wiz and Griz. I'll be interested to see if he goes against the Cavs after that, or skips another before the Pistons-Raptors-Nets stretch.
this sums up what I was trying to say. so many people were complaining about Adelman playing him limited minutes. MONTHS later (and more "knee-strengthening), his knee acts up after two games. Point is, management was right about easing him in and he was wrong. Anyways, I hope he gets better and plays well. No hard feelings, just glad he's someone else's problem
He didn't even have a terrible game. It was subpar but nothing like the stinkers he shat out as a Rocket. Let them see him in Toronto form.
