Au Contraire, The "BIG" difference is TSlack will be in street clothes by next week. And in and out of the lineup for the rest of the year.
Pippen was a member of the Bulls for so long and won championships, most of his fans are just Bulls fans. Bulls fans know who was the bread and butter of that team was. The Tracy lovers are a different bunch. They don't have a loyalty to a team. The Bulls fans are driven by success of the Bulls.
HEY! He's feeling "healthier than he's ever felt in years"...only "he need to get out there and see how he feels on the court and the next day". But he'll definitely show everybody he's got game left!...in the games he can play in.
I don't think it's a good idea to play Sergio Rodriguez with McGrady in the backcourt. Both players are better as facilitators with the ball in their hands, and McGrady has not proved he is able to play off-the-ball. House and McGrady makes more sense; it allows McGrady to be playmaker and set up shots for others, and House has shown he can knock 'em down. I only watched the second half but I noticed McGrady drew a lot fewer double teams this game. Maybe it was due to McGrady's hurting knees, but the Bucks player assigned to him showed no problem guarding him one-on-one. That meant fewer opportunities to pass to the open man. In general, the Knicks' offensive rhythm was horrible. While massaging the ball in the perimeter, McGrady often directed players to the spots he wanted them to be, or ordered them to set screens for him. I'm not sure if this meant his teammates weren't weren't doing what D'Antoni instructed them to do, or if McGrady was changing plays to his liking. Either way, it resulted in poor offensive sets.
I'm not so sure. If clutchfans was as big in the 90s as it is right now, I'd imagine plenty of posters would rub it in our faces when Pippen and the Blazers were sizzling. I think it's just a matter of timing and the popularity of the internet. As for T-Mac, I won't judge him based on this game nor the Thunder game. I'll wait a couple of weeks to see just how much he can still play. One thing's for sure though. The man will never be a role player. I can't imagine his ego accepting to play backup paid for the vet minimum. The guy still dominates the ball like nobody's business. And he loves the spotlight, which he'll never get if NY gets its offseason wish.
this place was popular dude, just because we got a bunch of foreigners and some teenagers who worship a player with no championships doesn't mean that clutchfans wasn't popular then. the point was Pippen didn't have an armada of fans, his fans were mainly Bulls fans. If there was one guy who grabbed fans from all regions, it was Mike. In case you didn't remember, Pippen only lasted one year and we had two players on this team that many clutchfans are loyal too (Dream and Barkley). oh here's the proof of clutchfans back n the day http://www.clutchfans.net/feature.cfm?FeatureID=26
I don't agree a lot with the haters regarding mcgrady, but I will agree with them on this. Tmac is SOFTER than TISSUE PAPER. Just because you can score 20+ in one game doesn't mean you deserve a new contract. You got to able to play back-back games, you've got to hustle and you have to at least try to run on a fast break . Tmac just wants the offense to run through him with minimal effort and that's not gonna fly if you want a new contract. I don't know when he banged his knees cause when I saw him play(2nd qtr onwards) he looked fine except in the 4 qtr when something happened after he hit a three. Forget finishing a fast break, he NEVER attempted to run when Sergio was pushing the ball and with D'antoni being a 7 seconds or less coach coupled with the knicks being freakishly small, Mcgrady not running is not gonna fly long. Even if the knicks get their dream free-agents(lebron and bosh) and they somehow resign Tmac, how is tmac going to be effective if he doesn't dominate the ball. Right now I haven't seen him run through screens and he is only minimally effective with the ball in his hands. Also his shooting is not Ray Allen-esque either where he can compensate for his ball-dominating abilities. After the 2008 playoffs, when he blamed the media for being hard on him(its my fault quote) instead of taking responsibility, TMAC lost me has his fan. I don't think Tmac ever knew what it took to be an all-time great player or even wanted to be an all-time player. Maybe he viewed basketball as a financial opportunity instead of a passion. I don't blame him for that, if thinks that. People can blame his lack of success on him being injured or bad luck and it may be valid but I ask those people how often he hustled, how often he ran, how often he made clutch plays, how often he had floor burns. Tmac did have his good moments(13 in 33, vicious dunks, gorgeous jumper, 22 game win streak) and I will always cherish those moments no matter what the haters say. Again I don't love or hate him, I just feel sorry for him. Sorry for the long post, but wanted to get my feelings out regarding Tmac, he can be such a lightning rod sometimes or is it primadonna?
["Making matters worse, McGrady said he banged knees a couple of times and wasn’t sure he would play Tuesday in Boston. This was only his eighth game this season after returning from knee surgery." “Hopefully it’s not sore tomorrow,” he said. “I may lace them up and play tomorrow, but we’ll see.”] And so it begins.
McGrady hurt Just read this on the NYPOST site....LOL too funny! Uh-oh. "Tracy McGrady's comeback took a troubling turn when the new Knick limped off the court in the final minutes of his second game. The cursed Knicks limped to a horrifying 83-67 loss to the Bucks and were booed off the court by a surly Garden crowd after scoring their season low. McGrady said afterward he knocked knees twice and wouldn't guarantee he'll be healthy enough to face the Celtics tonight in Boston. "Hopefully it's not sore [today]," McGrady said. "Maybe I'll lace them up and play, but we'll see. We'll see how it feels before the game."" LINK Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/knicks_wacked_UnNAIdEpOrHTwJDQ26AnpK#ixzz0gLpI5VAI
2nd game lol. expecting a press conference later when he announces that he's done for the year again. no wonder he has a 25 durability rating on 2k.
Laughing at a guy getting injured is wrong. Besides the Jazz's chances of getting a high lottery picks go up. Not funny any way you look at it.
Wow I knew it would happen. Just not this quick. Get ready for his speech about how he'll be getting surgery, and he promises to be 100% starting next season.
