The biggest problem w/ Tmac is still his refusal to make a pass that doesn't directly result in a basket. Sure, when the assists happen they look spectacular, but the other 85% of the time where he's hogging the ball waiting for the perfect pass, offense gets stale.
Both PGs had pretty poor games but Sergio "The future Spanish Leaguer" Rodriguez had 8 steals and Brandon "The Worst Shooting PG in the League" Jennings pulled down 8 boards.
lol, this thread is becoming comedy. let's see what happens when he has a good game, then another set of posters will come out. then when he has a bad game, another set of posters will come out. funny indeed.
so the knicks team as a whole sucked and somehow it's tracy's fault? never mind the guy came from microfracture surgery and hasnt played ball in about a year and a half...? David Lee must be "declining" hence his -8 compared to T-Mac's -1
Just for you, I'll make sure to bring it after his next "big stat" game. I think most people that see it the way I do are looking at a much bigger scope than individual games. By the way, how do you define a good game? How many points he scores?
Absolutely. Problem is he wants to be the center of attention. It's in his nature and he will never change.
He's a solid NBA player t_mac1, but there is no way he regains form if he doesnt regain any athleticism.. How is he going to get some speed back? He looks slow as hell to me and its painful to watch.
+/- holds the weight of gold in the world of basketball analysis, especially when the sample size is 1 game. I got a feeling that the Tmac bashing would be far more enjoyable if we were winning our games
no. he definitely struggled tonight physically. his stats may look fine if you just stat-watch tonight, but this is definitely a down game. he'll have another down game tomorrow too most likely with the b2b. his knees will definitely have to adjust to playing big minutes again with the big boys after 2 years out. a good game for him is what happened v. the thunder, even if he didn't have the stats.
But you can buy 6 East European countries and two McD's fish fillets (going on sale right now for - 2 for $3.33) with one guy's salary.
I'm not interested in celebrating his bad games, there's no point. But I fully understand that he's left this team with strong feelings left in his wake. That said, I do expect him to struggle mightily if his athleticism is gone and he continues to play as if he still had his 2004 body. It's really tough for players to adapt when they lose a step. It's easier for bigs, and really hard on guys that don't have a post game to fall back on. Tracy may want to take a cue from Larry Johnson if he wants to extend his time in the league.
