Can we officially change the name of this thread to the "official T-Mac's career is over as we know it" thread?
First off, funny story. Second NY Post=Papparazzi(I'm from NY, that is a tabloid, pure and simple). Also, I noticed Amare said something about him being blessed with hard work and dedication or something like that....Well Amare, how about you put some of that hard work on defense. In conclusion, anyone who gives Amare a max contract this off season will regret it just about as much as Washington is right now(with Arenas deal). Thre guy plays no D, and has shown to be immature, as clearly displayed in this article. I am not a T-Mac fan, but this article is stupid.
If we talkt about Amare, sure you are right. He is a great player but he does not deserve a max contract. Not at all. A lot of his greatness is because of Steve Nash. He will make everybody look much better. Amare doesn't like to play D (maybe not his fault - see Mike D'Antoni) but I also belive his post offense is overrated. You just can't throw him the ball and surround him with shooters (like with Yao) because he is not that type of player.
LOL nice find. Looks like the media is trying to squeeze everything little penny out of the 2010 Free Agent hype. I don't think McGrady did anything wrong though, even if it is true. As a superstar back in the day, he probably gets tons of phone calls from high school NBA prospects. He can't answer them all. Stoudemire just happened to be the most successful one of the hundreds that called. No one would care he is a bench warmer right now. Also, LOL at "You have to work out extremely hard, constantly, and really discipline yourself. That's an attribute a lot of folks don't have. I was blessed to have it."
Stoudemire is as much of a prima donna as TMac. I have a feeling if they were on the same team they'd be bad for each other. Good luck NY. I'm pretty sure he meant to say thread. Harping on it just looks like you're here to do some ego stroking.
Am I the only one who is disappointed in MerGady taking the high road by simply brushing off Amare's comments? This is assuming the article is full of truth. If not, then they suck at making up stuff.
Why are you dissapointed in him basically doing himself a favor and staying relatively quiet on the issue? Not a huge Mac fan myself, but just give him the smallest of breaks when he doesn't run his mouth.
