outside of the egg tmac laid v. the sixers, this is his 5th double figure scoring game in the last 6 games. hopefully he keeps improving.
Since Tmac has been on the Knicks he doesn't really look to score that much. He always shoots like 9 or so shots. If you look at how many shots some players take...he is being shy. But, it's not like the Knicks are playing for anything anyway. Plus regardless of what anyone else thinks, Mac will get a new contract...if not with NY...someone. It won't be huge, but he'll get something.
Solid game for T-Mac. He stands around way too much though when the ball isn't near him. The skills are still there
He was kind of limping. He looks so fatigued. How long is it going to take him to play over 30 minutes with ease? Damn..
that happens when there's no play to run. you dont wanna run somewhere, setting up screens no one's gonna use. best you just stay away from the paint and take your defender with you out in the perimeter and let whomever with the ball attack the paint. seriously, if there are plays being run asking tmac to do something (like set up screens, etc), im sure he'd do it. but in d'antoni's system it's everyone for himself.
i think his knee gets sore if he plays too many minutes, and the max has been around 25 so far. he's pushing 30 again tonight (he just signaled to be subbed out). next year is when he'll be able to play 30 mins with ease. he's hovering around 27 minutes now, with 33 minutes last game. it's a process.
Yep, if he makes it past this season, it will be good for him. Did you see him almost dunk on Andersen? That look's promising for him if his knee can get healthier and get more explosive..
Good teams with a solid shot of doing something in the Playoffs aren't facing a pressing need for a player like McGrady. Teams outside of the Playoffs are possibly in a Youth Movement and/or hoping to sign a high profile Free Agent.

Eastern Conference
Cleveland With King James there to massage the ball, limited need for McGrady. Without King James, they need to start over and no need for McGrady as a bandaid. Orlando Already have Vince. Been there, done that with McGrady. Boston They are already old enough and slow enough. They need young legs. Atlanta Would rather keep Joe Johnson. McGrady likely doesn't fit with their pace - tempo. Milwaukee Already has Jennings to dominate the ball. Small Market and no limelight, so wouldn't be McGrady's first choice. Miami If Wade leaves, very very doubtful that McGrady will be able to make a difference. If Wade stays, then McGrady would be a Sub off of the bench. Toronto A soft team that needs to get tougher. Been there, done that with McGrady. Charlotte A Veteran team that alreay has Captain Jack and Gerald Wallace. A reserve role at best for McGrady. Chicago Hoping to get Wade or similar level Free Agent. Already has Rose as a playmaker and that limits the need for McGrady to massage the ball. A reserve role at best. New York Needs to resolve the McGrady situation ASAP this Summer because of the Cap Hold that Tracy represents. To get two high profile Free Agents, Tracy would have to sign a lowball contract and accept a minor role in the scheme of things. Indiana Is a mess and needs signifcant changes. No idea what they are going to do. Philadelphia Already have a player (Brand) with physical limitations. Doubtful they would be eager to sign another player with questionable health. Andres Iguodala is still there and little need for McGrady. Detroit Still have Rip, Gordon and Stuckey can play SG if needed. McGrady won't fix their problems. Washington Already into a Youth Movement and still have Arenas with questionable health. Arenas and McGrady both need the ball to be happy (effective?). Hard to imagine any interest in McGrady. New Jersey In a Youth Movement and hoping for a high profile Free Agent (not McGrady).

Western Conference
LA Lakers Reserve role at best. Likely not a good fit with Artest and Kobe. Denver Has Carmelo and JR Smith. They stilll have Billups at the PG and little need for McGrady to be there and massage the ball. Dallas Already heavy on Veterans and still have Kidd to distribute the ball. Utah Has D Willliams to distribute the ball and Sloan probably no the best fit at coach for McGrady. Phoenix Their pace isn't what McGrady likes to play. Still have Nash to distribute the ball. San Antonio Heavy on Veterans and need to get some younger legs. McGrady and Pop likely a poor fit. Oklahoma City Doubtful that McGrady would lbe happy with a reserve role behind young players in a small market. Portland Spent a fair amount of this season massaging egos to fit Miller into the rotation. Already heavy with players that can play SG - SF. Memphis Already have Mayo and it would be similar to the Oklahoma City situation of young players getting the key minutes and glory instead of McGrady. Failed with the AI experiment and likely not interested in trying anything similar. Houston Been there, done that with McGrady. New Orleans Budget issues will prevent them from offering much money to any Free Agents. Have Chris Paul and Collison to distribute the ball. LA Clippers Could be looking for a high profile Free Agent (not McGrady). It would be interesting to see McGrady and B Davis on the court together if the Clippers were having a losing Season. Sacramento In a Youth Movement and Tyreke is already there to dominate the ball. Golden State Is a mess and needs significant changes throughout the entire organization. Curry is the future and McGrady would likely be an impediment to that. Minnesota Is in a small market with little chance of being a contender anytime soon. Has Flynn at PG.
McGrady will likely face having to sign for a small contract (reserve role) with a Veteran team if he wants to have a shot at a Ring. Signing with a Youth Movement team would require Tracy having to accept a subordinate role behind young players. After seeing how the AI experiemnt went for Memphis this season, there should be some soul searching done by team management before the same is tried with Tracy. Likely a few teams in the Middle of the Road that are neither in a Youth Movement or a true Contender in the Playoffs might be the best fit for McGrady.
i'm seeing improvement. i think his knee is finally seeing some strength (and that's obvious as he plays more games and minutes). he will play better to end the season (tonight marks his 5th double digit scoring game in the last 6 games). i just want him to regain some explosiveness going into the offseason so grover knows what to work with him.
carmelo cannot defend for jack. it's fine if his intensity lags, but when someone calls you out and you're getting destroyed on D by many different players, something's wrong. this is why he's not in lebron's league.
