if you watched the last few games when he plays as a PG, he hasn't been dominating the ball. the ball movement is best when tracy is on the floor believe it or not (listen to the pistons/raptors commentators on LP). he has shown he's willing to be a complimentary player the last 2 games whenever he's on the floor as indicated by the lack of demanding teh ball. the key with him to end the year is whether he can hold up with that knee and play consistent minutes night in and night out, whether they are b2bs or not. if he can do that, he should be fine going into next year.
He still better put up consistently good stats (atleast 16, 5, 5 on 45% shooting) to get a decent contract for next year. I highly doubt anybody will offer more then 2 yrs $10M right now.
So I take it that Tracy-lovers have foregone the idea that Tracy will bring magic to NY? What happened to the Tracy+2 max pipe dream? According to you guys, Tracy should now leech onto a successful team as a 2nd-stringer? Every two weeks the goal-post is shifting further to the offside. It's all so confusing
Whats also confusing is you labeling a variety of Tmac fans into just one group of "Tmac lovers". Guess I am a "Tracy lover" by your definition, but I don't remember ever saying he will bring "magic" to the Knicks or how he will attract 2 high quality free agents or any of the other bull**** you are making up out of your ass. If you really get confused that easily then perhaps:
You know what. I watched the game and I strongly belive comments like that are just disrespectful. Because I watched him play. He was just standing. Really, from looking at the game you could say his knee is stiff/sore or he has a setback, because really, he was standing (especially in the 4th). And to say that he is progressing well and feeling fine after game like that is disrespectful for me. Because I saw how he looked. And he looked A LOT worse. Does it mean he gave up?
-- Tracy McGrady said his body is tired – not pain in the knee, just fatigue – and he hopes to play Monday. A night off for rest seems more likely. Ha ha ha
Based on the number of views + replies for this thread, there is more intrest in tmac hating than being a rockets fans.
because you say you are the best player on the team, you say you are feeling better, making progress and on the court you can't even run and you miss the next game. That is disrespectful.
The man was very talented at one point in his career. He was fun to watch, no matter what tinman says. His threes/jumpers were like crack. They were so difficult, so contested, and yet he managed to drain them. It seems the harder they tried to defend him, the better he became at scoring. The more they played off him, the more he sucked.
sorry, I watched players that were SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER THAN TRACY in my life time. You don't even have to be old to watch better players than tracy, you just have to watch NBA BASKETBALL. and it's not me, it's everybody who's watched nba basketball. and also, specifically Rockets fans who have seen a player who has won the MVP, FINALS MVP, DPOY and brought championships to the Rockets and the city of Houston. 50 years from now, Tmac will be a footnote in Rockets and NBA history, while championships will live on forever.
Who? T-Mac in 2002-2003 was as good as if not better at basketball than pretty much anyone. He led a team with everyone else being below average (PER of below 15) to the playoffs. His regular season PER is one of hte highest ever. He sucks now but that doesn't mean he wasn't great at one point
