Not seeing the games, but man Rubio's FG% has plummeted. It's either a slump or teams have figured out how to get him out of his comfort zone. Maybe over the off-season he adjusts his shot so that he can release it quicker. It's such a slow shot that he can only get it off when he's wide open.
Rubio played poor against Derek Fisher the other night but I guess that's not what this thread is about since this is solely a praise thread. He outplayed Lowry tonight for sure though and returned the favor after Lowry's triple double on him.
i was wrong about him. he's quick enough to play in the league. when they first played, bullard to objection to comparing him to pistol pete. i agreed with bullard but i'm not so sure now. he can get his shot off any time. just a matter of making
Lowry has been playin pretty bad as of late, thats one of the reasons those Rubio haters shut up --- for now. Once Lowry has a good game, they will be all over the place saying Lowry is an all star, because on clutchfans, you are as good as your last game.
Arm length, my friend, arm length. Point guards with extremely long arms have a tendacy to have shooting problems.
Jerry West can be considered as two more, than as a point guard, but he played as a floor general for quite a bunch of time
Just heard an interview with David Khan and he said something interesting about Adelman and Ricky Rubio. He said Adelman has been very good for the players particular Rubio because Adelman gives Rubio "structured freedom." Not sure exactly what that meant but it sounds like Adelman isn't trying to force his system down Rubio and the other players throat but has adjusted his coaching to allow Rubio to freedom to operate with in his system.
