Head makes boneheaded decisions every now and then, but before the injury he played twice as many minutes as Bonz and still turned it over less.

It's not 20/20 for me. I said it from the very start.

I always like Rafer's potential more than Mike James.

I always said Juwan Howard adds something to the team while Mike James subtracts from the team. I always supported trading Juwan ONLY for an obvious upgrade. ...Mike James ain't no obvious upgrade.

I can't tell you how much crap I've taken over the years for supporting Juwan and Rafer. I'm smelling like ROSES now.

The ONLY positive to the whole fiasco was trading the draft rights to get Car Landry surely would not have happened if we had Juwan. So in the end it all worked out.

hahahahha to all you Mike James lovers, Rafer haters and Juwan haters. bhahaha.

3 year ago, MJ played quite well in Rockets, but not now, so trading him doesn't upset me.

Now, Bonzi starts to play his roles, not like last year, as a fat a$$, so I don't understand why let him go, just for Bobby.

It's hard to turn the ball over whenever the only thing you do is catch the ball and spot up. Yet he still finds a way to make us scratch our heads every game whenever he throws the ball out of bounds or tries to feed Yao but throws the ball three feet away from him.

I hate on him a lot but if we're sticking with him for the long haul I really hope he does well. We're going to need it. Our bench just lost its best player so we're really going to need Bobby Jackson or Luther to step up. If you want me to stop hating this trade so bad I wouldn't mind seeing Bobby Jackson show up on Day 1 ready to ball. Let's hope that happens.

Head does alot more than just spot up...Thats his forte obviously, but he dives and finishes around the basket about as well as Bonzi. How many times have u seen him make that baseline cut when Yao hands him the ball and he reverses it for two..

Head also gets out in transition which is something i like.

Heads biggest weakness by far is defense, but offensively he brings alot more than Bonzi and thats what we need. We need offense off the bench.

I don't love this trade, but it will make us better on offense for several different reasons. It also frees up cap space next year and nets us an expiring contract....Morey knows what he's doing.

I've seen him try to reverse it in, but fail miserably due to not putting any english on the ball.

Well that's fine, and I guess you're also one of those guys that thinks all Mcgrady does is shoot jumpers.

Nope not at all. I call it like I see it and I think Luther struggles considerably whenever he isn't doing anything else besides shooting jumpers. I'll give him some credit for improving his movement without the ball but the end result is all the same.

What are you talking about? MJ did not have significant minutes since mid november, while in the first games (with just 20/25 mins) his stats were way better than Alston. Then he had some bad games (but he was not the only one) and after he got very few minutes in garbage time only, while Alston (Head &Co.) was just struggling.

That's a fair opinion because ,yes ,as a member of JVGs offense in his rookie and soph year he was a jump shooter. I believe that given just a little more time, he can be much more than that in Adelman's offense. We're both in the same boat that we want to see it happen. I just happen to think it will happen. His outside shot alone makes him a better offensive player than Bonzi, but I think you're underestimating his ability to attack the rim both in the half court and in transition.

While I disagree with you about the loss of bonzi, I agree with you regarding Head.

If Head isn't hitting his jumpers, he's worthless.

While this is true, Head normally does make his jumpers which is something Bonzi never did. When Luther finishes a drive its just an added bonus.

I guess I just don't see why people seem to think Bonzi is so much better than the other bench players on our team....He wasn't last year, and he isn't this year either.

Mike James was traded by ROX twice. That's not easy.

James was given a chance before Francis and Brooks. You said it yourself, he was getting 20-25 minutes per game. That is a lot. Much more than what Stevie got. He got less and less time because he started playing bad. Didn't move the ball around much and shot the ball every chance he got. And who can forget when Shane had to b**** at Mike James for turning over the ball and then not getting back on defense. You must be blind if you think James never got a chance.

Yeah he normally does make them, but at times he also dissappears. I know I'm not confident in him in a playoff situation. I've thought he was a career marginal bench player since his rookie season and haven't seen anything to change that opinion. Not that there is anything wrong with being part of the bench, I'm just concerned the rockets will invest more $$$ than he deserves when he is a fa just because he can shoot the rock. I've always hoped he would show enough talent to be a good trade asset, but it doesn't look like that is too likely(unless he goes bonkers in the playoffs).

I think Bonzi did add something to the team. Mainly rebounding and constantly attacking the rim. But at the same time I don't think he played well or consistant enough to consider losing him to be a big deal. And he wasn't going to be the xfactor in the playoffs imo.
