Hard to prove something if your coach only give you garbage time to play. MJ did deserve more especially when Alston did not even deserve to see the court or a basket ball, or when T-Mac was injured. But you know, in Houston someone is loving Alston so much...

    Good Luck Mike.

Man wish Mike James the best in the N.O. Didn't work out like most of the fans and Rox organization tought it would be. On the other hand since it didnt work out its good that we got rid of his contract.

I loved Mike James last time. That being said, every time I saw him, I couldn't help but think of rhester's story about how JVG wanted to go after Matt Harpring, and Carroll Dawson overruled him and blindly chased James, ending up with Bonzi and Spanoulis.

BJ is a way better player than mike james... BJ light up a score board in a hurry, but he is very injury prone :/

You people are all on crack. Not only is Mike James a better player currently but his career numbers are also better than Bobby Jackson's too. Points, shooting, assists....the whole nine yards. They're similar players but Mike James is better.

I can gladly admit that Mike has sucked this year but i'd be willing to bite the bullet and keep him in order to retain Bonzi. I don't think people realize how badly losing Bonzi is going to hurt us. All I can say is I pray that we have another deal lined up but who are we kidding? Everybody in the West is making trades to get better and here we are trading two impact players for an old washup just so we can avoid paying the luxury tax.

I'm glad to see we've rid ourselves of Mike James contract considering how poorly he's panned out - but I'm not glad to see Bonzi go. I know he was likely to jump ship after this season anyhow, but I'd have liked to have had him in the playoffs. Especially in the case that we face the Spurs.

If losing Bonzi is going to hurt us so much then how did we win 52 games last year without him?

Where is this coming from. Hes really not that good.

Have you watched him play this year? Anytime you give him significant playing time he scores and rebounds very well. He posts up, attacks the basket and creates mismatches. On top of that his defense has improved considerably. He's a solid 6th man....gone.

Seriously? Losing the worst rotation player is going to hurt the Rockets? When healthy, just shortening the rotation, and letting Landry and Head take Bonzi's minutes helps. I guess if T-Mac gets hurt, Bonzi would be valuable, but the Rockets aren't going far without T-Mac, whether Bonzi's there or not.

Unfortunately I don't see Bobby Jackson as a huge step up from James at 35 years old. 5 years ago he would have been the clear starter for us. Now it is hard to see him doing signifcantly more than Brooks or James have. If it was JUST James for Jackson it would have been a great deal, but combined with losing Bonzi it seems to hurt more than help unless there is another deal pending.

Yeh I've watched him play this year and its been inconsistant at best. Most of his good games came against weaker opponents. Furthermore, When he put up his best numbers of the season playing 30 mins a game we lost alot of games. Look at his game log.

Mike James had plenty of chances. He was the first guy off the bench at the start of the season. He stunk it up and got moved down the bench. James was giving to most playing time out of our backup guards and never cashed in. GOOOOODBYE to the self-proclaimed prostitute.

Yeah, trading away a player that posts up and creates mismatches in order to get Luther Head more minutes is brilliant logic to use.

James, who was no longer in the Rockets rotation, told FOX 26 he is excited about the trade.

"I've been trying to get back to Houston for two years and when I get back it wasn't what I expected or the Rockets expected," said James.

James is still baffled at what happened to him with the Rockets.

"The last time I got a DNP (did not play) was my rookie year," James said. (Rockets head coach) Rick Adelman had no interest in playing me and it was frustrating but that is part of the business in the NBA."

James is thrilled about going to the team with the best record in the West.

"It feels good that a team wants me and it's the best team in the Western Conference," James said.

James pointed out he needs to care of all of the stuff that goes with being traded because the Hornets play the Rockets Friday in New Orleans.

"I have to get my physical ASAP so I can play (Friday) night," said James. "That is going to be a lot of fun."

Man Luther Head has been a MUCH bigger factor than Bonzi in our run that started during the new year even with being injured for two weeks.

Posting up and creating mismatches is worthless if you turn the ball over at a Mutombo-esque rate and miss more lay-ups and < 5 foot shots than anyone else in the league. Getting rid of Bonzi is addition by subtraction.

exactly...Head > Bonzi in our offense...Bonzi grinds everything to a screetching haulton offense and Luther plays right right in with the system.

So you're worried about dumb turnovers at the same time you're suggesting we give Luther more minutes?

I'll gladly admit that Bonzi wasn't our savier our anything. I just like his unique style of play. I can handle 1-2 TO's a game if he's making a positive impact on the game -- something he was pretty good at.
