My gut tells me Sacramento will win this one to become the first team to get a victory after the trade.
I think he's recovered the atheleticism. It's just now that he's getting more primary scoring responsibilty and defensive attention and needs to counter with finesse moves like reverse layups (which he hits at a very high rate, by the way. It was easy to get dunks his first couple of months of significant NBA time because guys were at the stage where they had to be reminded that Landry was "no joke" when their attention was mostly focused on Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady. I think Landry can still jump as high as before, but you just can't pull off all these dunks when the opposing team actually focus their D on you.
Didn't watch the Kings-Clippers game but it looks like two straight good games from the Landry/Hawes frontcourt, leading to a two-game winning streak. 18 points and 8 rebounds for Landry, including 10 points in the fourth quarter.
I wouldn't be sure of that and neither are the Rocket's team doctors. My cousin works at the studio for the Rockets. Joel Blank, the director of broadcasting, told him the team doctors feel that Carl's knees are shot and will give up on him sooner than later.
Were they wrong? T-mac has already came out of the game due to knee probelms in New York. The Rockets team doctors weren't the only ones afraid of Blair's injuries. There were 28 other team doctors thinking the same thing. Besides Blair doesn't have ACL's. That's known. So I don't understand how you can complain about our doctors with those weak examples.
17 pts on 7 of 12 shooting and 3 of 3 from the line with 7 boards, 2 steals, and a turnover in 35 minutes.
His increase in minutes isn't really translating to stats with Sacramento because Tyreke Evans is a bit of a ball hog. Still efficient, though.
Whose knees don't give up sooner or later? Seriously though, those guys are quacks... look at Tracy and his mess. Oh sure, he's ready to go alright. Those guys do what they think Les wants and so they keep hiring them. It's about money in the pocket. Carl's knees aren't shot by the way... his leg muscle was.
