    LOL.

Like Steve, Cat drove me crazy half the time. Like Steve too, I always loved him as a Rocket. The guy just loves the game and it's contagious as hell. And he loved being a Rocket. He was asked to change his game completely twice -- from rookie point guard to iso scorer to defense first role player. He never complained and he always played his heart out. I'm not losing a Rocket though, I'm gaining the Magic. Wherever Rudy goes, wherever Steve and Cat (and Cato, actually) wind up, I'll be rooting for them.

Man, I'll miss Cuttino too... the heart, effort, quickness and, of course, the uncharacteristic (for an NBA player) reasonable contract.

But, damned if he wasn't the worst at making me want to bash my TV to little bits! I won't miss Team Bonehead, that's for sure.

But I will miss Wink and Cat. Kapaya.

Doesn't make any sense, does it?

Maybe this is what's best for Cat... Didn't Clutch make a post that basically showed the Cat played much better against the Eastern Conference than the west? I'm pretty sure his scoring average and FG% were much higher.

    My sentiments exactly. :(

When he first joined the Rockets, I instantly liked his personality and his attitude. As a person he was alright but, as a player.. He used to frustrated me with his CONSTANT recklessness that mirrored Steve's, seeing those twins running up and down the court in free stupidity. My god, was it frustrating, year in, year out. It seemed hopeless. But, then, JVG becomes our coach and Cat completely surprises by showing actual improvement, actual capabilities of learning, a brain! To accompany his already passionate heart.

And before I knew it, I was applauding him and really cheering him on in throughout the season and playoffs, without the slightest cringe, without the slightest complaint. He had done what was asked of him, with what seemed to be great ease, all in a single year. I will really miss seing Cat in a Rocket's uni, he definitely showed he wasn't done just yet, and he still could improve, and is on path to make himself into a really good solid overall player.

Farewell, Cat, you will be missed. :)

I liked Mobley's game much more than Francis' game which was pure athleticism. I wish the Rocket's could keep him, but TMac has been my favorite player in the league for several years now. He is sooooo unbelievable and will likely get better. His skills are comparable to Kobe. The Magic are getting alot and will be surprised how good Mobley is. If we can get a real PG to set things up, look out. This is a dream come true. Please happen! Please!

Maybe this trade is better for the team ... maybe. But it's an emotional thing to be saying goodbye to two players who've been with the team so long and have always played extremely hard.
Cat always gave great bang for the buck.

losing Mobley reminds me of how I felt about losing Sam Cassell. But, this is a good trade and the Rockets should definitely persue it.

I'll miss him. I've got less hair today than I did before Mobes joined the Rocks, and at least some of it's gone because of him, but he did everything we asked of him without complaint and a lot better than we had any right to expect.

Good luck, Cat, and I hope you come back someday.

I echo every positive thing that's said about Cat in this thread, especially Rockbox. I've really liked the guy, great player. I'll miss him and Steve so much. We won't be able to resign Steve as long as T-Mac and Yao are here, but Cat couldn't come back sooner. I think Cat will wanna try and stay with Steve, though.

I was always one of a very small group (that grew substantially last season) that loved Cat and hated Steve. Hopefully Steve gets moved on to the Bulls for Chandler, Williams, and Hinrich and everyone can see how great Cat can really be. In a year, I hope to see Cat opting out of his contract and rejoining the Rox for the MLE. Until then, I certainly hope and expect to see the Magic doing well in the East. I do not want to see Cat shutting down McGrady next season like he did in the past few meetings.

    I'll miss Cat :(
I think he really rasied the bar last season and took his game to another level. I hope he continues to do the same where ever he goes.

Ill miss the sweet left hand jumpers (when they go in).
I hope Cat realizes that he can just beat people off the dribble all day.

I wont miss him as much as Cassell tho. Look how awesome cassell is, he's better than Jason Kidd. Kidd scored zero points in his game 7. Sammy, hurt, can drop 18 pts in an elimination game.

I dreamed of the Cutino, Cassell combo.

again, like SF...Mobley is gonna thrive in the eastern conference. Good luck mobes! He would have been a perfect 6th man for us!
