Well I can't say I hate Brooksball so much, but after he falsely accused me of something, and being a smartass about it. I really have him at the bad side.

Of course, I thought he was a pretty decent guy after he ate crow (sorta) in his thread, but I guess he has a problem with me not liking Lebron too much (and misreading my post and accusing me of calling lebron a bad player).

But o well, there are rational people and irrational people. There are people who don't like to admit they're wrong until they must admit they're wrong
ie. Playoffs, No way. I will never accept these people back in the bandwagon unless I see them supporting the team during losing periods, and supporting EVERY single rocket player. Criticism is acceptable, hate is not.

I have a list of people who, bash players with absolutely no justified reasons at all, as many of you know most of them come off t-mac haters.

And I still have that list, unless people like copter, anti-sonic, Mr. Smartass Blinesburry (the fair weathered writer) back off hate threads (Hate threads, hate post, not constructive critcism), and stay behind the line during losing periods. They do not deserve to be handed a dedicated rocket fan.

And IMO (I know it sounds cruel), but people who gave up on the rockets long ago, calling them a lottery team, can be called a rocket fan, but cannot be considered a true rocket fan. Real fans don't doubt their teams. Real fans should learn from GSW fans, supporting their team all the way. There arena in the playoffs was inspiring and admirable. If only most of our fans would do the same...

For anybody that missed it the first two times, I eat crow for saying the Rockets had no chance of making the playoffs.

You're trying too hard, you really need to start talking instead of posting pictures.

Now, why do you hate t-mac so much?

The cheapest way to win an arguement is to use a false one. I don't hate rocket fans, I hate "fans" like you anti-sonic, as well as other fair-weathered fans. I see absolutely no need to allow fair-weathered fans back in the wagon after debates, arguements, and player hating.

Good job putting words in my mouth to win an arguement. You can't get any cheaper than that. But o well if you're gonna do that, so be it. I have a life, Im not gonna spend my time playing with you. I see you must've spent quite some time making these pics... You're trying too hard buddy. And you still haven't answered my question, why hate t-mac?

IMO you're either a rocket fan or you're not. If you hate the rockets (not criticise), you can't be considered a fan. A fan who calls the rockets "done for" are hating. Fans who say rockets will not make it to the playoffs are hating. Why? Because they are completely unjustified.

Good luck next year to fair weather fans, maybe you can choose to stick with the team till the end this time. My 2 cent, im not arguing, but giving my opinion. As for AntiSonic, well I find it annoying the immature names you call t-mac, such is Tradey McBabey, McCancer. Its not funny, it pisses people off. Grow up, cause you should be since you've been here for a whole.

I gotta say that was a bummer of a day!! I excitedly jump into the BBS expecting to see that we added Brent Barry :D only to see we lost Yao!!! :( After a couple of days, I felt that we would still make the playoffs, but as the 7th or 8th seed. No way did I think we would continue the streak to 22 and have a shot at HCA in the 1st and 2nd rounds. ;)

Whoa man, you may think these things are right, but they are all completely subjective. One person's view of a 'fan' can be totally different from another person's view of a 'fan'. Personally, just because a fan says his team is doomed and done for, does not mean he is not a fan, merely means he's a fan with extremely low expectations. Besides, hating? Hating is when you geniunely dislike a team, and I don't see why being pessimistic = dislike.

Boy! You guys are truly mean! While I have consistently maintained that the Rox will make the playoffs, I can certainly understand (and more importantly accept) how others would have lost their faith in this team given the ups and downs of this season. I mean look at all they've come through this season: the so-so start, Tmac turning into SheMac and back into Tmac, the lynch mob looking for Rafer at the beginning of the season, the loss of Yao, the streak, falling back to earth after the streak and now the clinching of a playoff berth. It's been one helluva ride.

Instead of gloating at those who let their emotions get the better of them (BrooksBall wasn't the only one guys), I suggest we all step back and savor this season for what it represents: a true turning point for this franchise. I have been waiting for over 12 years for some sign of basketball competency from this organization and now, for the first time since they won those 2 championships, I can finally see that they are on the right path to becoming champions once more. And for that, I'm happy no matter how the playoffs turn out because let's be real here: without Yao, they face long odds and the Western Conference playoffs will be absolutely brutal. Even if the Rockets go down in the 1st round again, it won't sting as much as in the past because I have hope for the future once again. I say let us all endeavor to be a bit more forgiving around here because you are beginning to sound like a bunch of snitty Mavericks fans.

Actually you misinterpreted what I said. And I should've been clearer. Fans who will get off the wagon in the team's losing periods are people who given up on the team, and are basically fair-weathered fans, which was earlier this season. True fans would stick with the team till the end.

I think I mentioned it earlier in my previous post, and I don't think I'm being entirely subjective. I just don't think its fair for fair-weathered fans to hop back in the wagon after arrogant smartass comments like "mark my words, rockets will not make it in playoffs", "rockets don't have a chance as long as t-mac is here" or "Yao Ming does not work with T-mac, trade one of them now".

But in the end Brooksball did a good job eating his words for it, and good job to OP for making this thread as well. Just my 2 cent, don't need to take my words into account. I guess we'll see how the fans all come out during and after the playoffs. I know for sure if its still another first round exit, there will be hella lot of debate going on in this forum.

Thats very nicely written, and I would definately agree with you. But the problem is, fans don't think the way you do. We're talking about losing faith in the team, and calling out trade threads for rafer, RA (even), t-mac and all these players. And right now, like you said we're becoming LA fans, who are possibly the most fair weathered fans in NBA. If its another first round exit, I can bet at least 99 % of the people who claimed they've given up, but have gained faith in the team again, would once again throw out unnecessary trade threads and bash threads.
