And it's not even hate. lt's the way you feel when a rat runs across the floor. You wanna step on it. You just wanna crush it. You don't even know why. lt's a physical reaction...and everyone feels it. Mav.
I didnt hate the mavericks (in fact I liked them) but after the 2005 playoffs series with all the bad calls, I started to hate them.
Will Dallas beat Miami in the Finals.. oh yes.. I wish it would be Detroit.. but they are choking it up this year. I really wouldn't count on the suns winning the series against the mavs.. I really would like them to thou.
But maybe.. there is that chance that the mavs will screw it up.. and cost them the championship That would be great!
Go HEAT! Hating Dallas only makes sense. 1. Bandwagon Fans. 2. Mark Cuban. 3. They're from Dallas. 4. If they win, you're going to hear about it for years. 5. Irk Nowitzki's flopping ass. 6. The 40 point drumming last year. 7. How much you had to hear about the 40 point drumming from Mav "Fan" friends. 8. They're from DALLAS. 9. Mark Cuban. If you are any of the following: Rockets Fan Houstonian Fan of the game the way it should be played(Offensive Balance, Defense) American God-Fearing Then you should hate the Mav's and cheer for Miami/Phoenix/Detroit.
Emm, not really. By offensive balance, I meant an inside-outside game(Shaq/Wade, Yao/T-Mac, Duncan/Ginobilli, etc...), not scoring being split among many players. Defense, they're improved, but they're still not even close to playing the defense of the traditional NBA champion. Frankly, these rule changes have the potential to change the face of the league, potentially allowing the league's first champion with sub-par defense. dirtyfilthynasty, you're right...The Suns play even less "D." I'm cheering for them simply because they meet less of the hate criteria than the Mav's do.
This is a nightmare. I don't know wtf is wrong with some of yall. I think the Rockets miserable season has fried your brains. Snap out of it.
Dallas better not win that's all I'm saying. I will be rooting for the Miami Heat as if they were the Houston Rockets.
I see your point: If the Mavericks somehow win it all this year, they could be well on their way to being a serious championship contender for years to come. Now that they have seen the light and drank the koolaid of defense, their youth, speed and versatility (that's three things the Rockets don't have for those who can stop hating long enough to keep count) makes them extremely dangerous. And just where do you suppose will that leave Uncle Les, CD, JVG and the good ship Rockets? Here's a quick recap of a now familiar Rockets' fan lament: 2004 (Lottery Year): TMac arrives. Now we have TWO legitimate superstar players. All we have to do is surround them with the right role players. 2005 (Playoffs, Eliminated in Round One): We have Yao & TMac - TWO legitimate superstar players. With the right roles players surrounding them, we will contend for the NBA Championship next year. 2006(Lottery Year): This past year was a fluke. We still have TWO legitimate superstar players. All we need to do is surround them with the right role players especially shooters... Does anyone detect a pattern here? We now return you to the Maverick Hatefest currently in progress...
i couldn't agree with you more. other than for tmac and yao..WE SUCK. not 1 other player on our team can carry an offensive load for 10 secs. compare our team to any of teams that reached the second round..then one will realize how sorry we are.
I don't understand the hatred for the Mavs around here. The Mavs aren't even close when you compare them to the Jazz and Sonics in the mid 90s.
i don't know about that. i blood-pressure sure shoots up and i always feel like breaking something every time i see a Mavs playoff game.
