Dynamo game tonight at NY Red Bulls. Kickoff is 6 pm. Barnes and Maidana are out with injuries. Interesting what the formation and starting lineup will look like by gametime. I think either 4-4-2 or the same 4-5-1 (maybe a 4-2-3-1) from the past two weeks. I'm sure Cubo, Boniek, Leo Miranda, and two Spain players (Rocha and Agus) could get some playing time. http://www.mlssoccer.com/injuries
I think they keep the same formation that has been working (4-5-1) They slid Boniek into the #10 role of Maidana and threw Miranda in for Barnes in the previous game, I think that is who starts today. That group still produced a lot of chances

Dynamo 2-1 New York Halftime  I hope they keep on keeping on... pile it on... ATTACK! We have the ways. I hope they don't do like other teams out there that just defend... it won't win you games to be up by one. ATTACK!
Crazy second half. Dynamo can neither stop the Red Bulls from getting the ball into the final third nor clear it worth a darn... Go from three points to a possible tie to no points just like that unless they can salvage a late goal here.
Well, they're scoring goals consistently (currently 3.6 goals per game) but they really need to fix the defense.
Not sure the answer is on the roster for the defense First step I think is to replace Clark in the starting lineup. He is always a step behind everyone, ALWAYS playing chase on defense. Boniek is playing too well not to have him staring at this point, I think you slide him in there. As for the back line, idk what to do. Maybe throw in Agus and hope he brings something to the table. At least the offense is playing well enough to keep the team afloat for a while until they figure out the defense.
Agree on Clark and that Boniek should be starting but Boniek cannot play the defensive mid role. That wouldn't be an improvement other than Boniek is better on the ball. Clark has made a career of being out of position. Coyle needs to do something to get them out of the mindset of bunkering in with a lead. At 65 minutes, they don't need 10 within 30 yds of the goal. Keep playing the game that got you to 3 goals. In the NE game and this one, they sat back and tried to absorb the pressure. That can only be done for so long. They're getting a lead and then playing not to lose. It's not working. Also, I think getting Deric back will make a difference. I think he makes a couple of the saves that Willis hasn't. Missing Maidana and Barnes didn't help either as they could have provided more possession when it was needed.

Boniek Garcia and Cubo Torres are gone due to playing for their national teams this week. http://www.mlssoccer.com/injuries http://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/ma...couver-whitecaps-fc-vs-houston-dynamo/preview
Idk how much longer Willis can hold on here. He is taking a barrage of shots, this defense is an absolute siv
I've never noticed before but Vancouver is a particularly whiny and flopping group. They were b****ing and diving the entire game. I was watching on MLS Live which had the Vancouver broadcasting team and even they said that was a bogus PK.
Dammit. This is the 3rd time already this season that they let a lead slip away. Frustrated with these late collapses. On the other hand, a good crowd turnout despite being on same time with the Rockets-Lakers game. 20,975 is the official attendance.
You sit back and absorb pressure for nearly 60 minutes, it's only a wonder that Seattle didn't score earlier. Dynamo are playing not to lose. Yes, offensively they've been better up until the point that they get a lead. It's what happens after that point that has been crushing. Continuing to give away points is going to haunt them.
That's what 6 points dropped already (2 games at home where the snatched a draw from the jaws of victory (-4 points) and two n the road where they gave up a late goal that untied it (NY) and that bogus penalty on the dive in Vancouver)?
