The official Halloween 2008 costume idea thread (It's never to early)

So we saw the standard Joker costume for my 8 year old...and it was crap in a bag for $40.

We went to a fabric store...got some incredible stuff for about $7...and a friend sewed him an amazing long purple coat and green vest. Looks incredible. Went to Goodwill and found a purple tie with weird green circles over it randomly.

And my 4 year old is going as Batman I think I'm more excited about this than they are.

 

I had to attend a party on saturday, and decided to go as ruler of my own island, or should i say president of my own island. I already had a green military jacket, so i just went to the army surplus,on long point, and bought some solid green canvas pants and a green hat. I spent 25 capitalist dollars.

 

I was an oompa loompa at my party last weekend.

I wore a great costume Saturday.

I knew about a third of the party that I went to.

I wore a totally sweet graphic tee, some Sean White skinny jeans I got at Target, a white cloth belt with the buckle on the side, two leather wristbands, and two puka shell necklaces. My hair was spiked up into an awesome feauxhawk. I capped it all off with a shiny pair of low top Reebok whites. No need to say, I looked like a total *******.

When I would meet new people, I would give them a semi-upset look and tell them how dissappointed I was because I could not find a costume. They gave me a weird look and I smiled inside.

 

um, so i went as Chong Li. the costume totally bombed. everyone, except one guy, thought i was the karate kid.

 

I'm going as What About Bob. Bright blue shirt that says 'DONT HASTLE ME' in yellow lettering, khaki shorts, boots and a jar with a goldfish roped around my neck. I might get a dark receding hairline wig. Sadly, my Dr. Marvin bailed on me. At least I'll have something to yell about.

It's too bad no one has seen Doctor Horrible or I'd have been him...

My 4 yr. old has never been trick-or-treating or anything, so I thought I would do something fun with him this year. I haven't worn a costume for Halloween since I was probably 12 but figured I would for him. I wanted something father -son related so I went through a lot of ideas.
