Wow. Does anybody have any confidence whatsoever in the Texans organization? I mean, I certainly don’t, but the negativity surrounding this franchise is overwhelming. I share in it, just to be clear...
I like it. Not to mention Duane Brown over there telling Clowney i feel ya... get outta that prison yard in Houston lol.
That's the problem with OB's handling of this. He should tell the Seahawks we can always keep him and trade in the off-season. He really wants to play for you, but we will have multiple suitors both during the season and in the off-season. No doubt Clowney is worth a first or a second and a third. If all they come to us with is a mediocre tackle, a second stream running back, and a middling pice then walk away and say to the NFL, we'll talk when people are being reasonable. Of course, OB is too stupid to turn this around.
Oh the stories JD & Duane have. "Didn't want to pay you, didn't want to pay me. We both got out of that shithole organization."
And he's been extremely underwhelming. Not to mention we have Fulton and Mancz on the roster, who are probably both better centers than Martin. Or at least as good. We need a tackle, not a center. But I guess as long as Britt is versatile, I'm okay with it, Brian.
I do think our center position problems are being overlooked. I think all of the options currently are below average, especially Martin. I don't Know much about Britt, but if he is a large upgrade at center, then he and a 2nd would be ok. Do they have any cornerbacks, that could be in play?
Confidence in the team is really low due to the buffoonery of the front office. BOB has orchestrated a crap show, getting Rick Smith out and getting Brian Gaine in. Then uses Gaine as the sacrificial lamb in order to get Casserio (sp?), but screws that up by not understanding what was in Casserio’s contract. The draft wasn’t that great, but it’s too early to tell how that will play out. It honestly feels like they couldn’t get the guy they wanted, they didn’t trust the guy they had with all the cap space, so they’re going to punt on this year and really go for it next year. I don’t want to be that guy that says I’m done with this team, but this is the least excited that I have ever been for the Texans. Maybe it’s the success of the Astros and Rockets that have me spoiled as a fan, but it looks like the Texans don’t know what the hell they're doing.
