Nowitzki is the most overrated 'superstar' in the whole NBA. Dude has 2 moves: fadeaway jumpshot, and shotfake take it to the goal feel contact throw the ball up and pray for a foul call. You could see it all throughout the playoffs how he simply disappears. Superstars dont dissapear like that.

You are a freaking idiot. I usually wouldn't bash somebody, but you are truly an idiot. So basically you don't like the Rockets anymore because we have improved our team? Do you know how well Yao has played? Did you watch T-Mac and how he played in the playoffs? These are the players that you would want on a TEAM. Players who are unselfish and knows the game of BASKETBALL. Not STREETBALL. If you don't like the Rockets, then find another forum. We don't like you and don't need you.

Yeah, I also hate Dirk. He needs to stop flopping and just play his game. I used to respect his game, but now he just sucks.

Dirk is a fine offensive player, but overall he has to be overrated. How did he get 3rd in MVP balloting again and Tmac only 7th?

I tell ya, I lost a little more respect from Dirk this year after seeing all his flapping and flopping around as he drives into lanes demanding fouls be called. Whatever. It's like he has joined Gasol in that group!

I thought early in the season he did a good job making things happen by himself, without Nash thereby elevating his game. But later in the year you see more complaining and whining. And then when the playoffs come he becomes exposed defensively more than I can ever remember. And this is with him playing with a legit C in Dampier.

I don't hate Dirk, but I do hate his flopping. His limited game got exposed this year. Without a great passing PG to set him up, his lack of speed becomes a liability on offense. He also doesn't have the assasin's mentality of KNOWING he WILL score if a basket will kill the other team or his team is down in the last minute or so of a game. This is but one thing that puts him behind T-Mac/Kobe/Wade and others.

I've only read about his explosion on Jason Terry, without whom the game wouldn't even have gone into overtime. Then in overtime, Dirk goes 0-5 and scores only one point. Some leader.

One last comment on the Ticket 1310AM in Dallas. I discovered the station earlier this year on business trips up there. The guys on the radio last night were so blunt they make Charlie Pallilo look like a homer.

Oh and jabroni, we won THREE games this year in the playoffs, not TWO. That was about the only part of your *post* I could understand. Don't let the door hit you on your ass on the way out, chump.

I just dont like Dirk... he's a petty little gurl in a 7' man's body period. As for Terry, I dont like him cause he was the one that killed the rockets... not the Mavs... But I dont hate him, I have alotta respect for how he stepped his game up...

What an utter piece of nonsense! Where do I start on this? How pathetic, living in the past, blah, blah- you really think it was the fans who ran Rudy T, Steve, etc. out of town. What a joke! As JVG has said over and over again, it's not about what Francis, Mobley, and Cato did- it's about what McGrady could do. If you'd rather have those 3 back, well more power to you. Caving in to the new fans' demands? You are seriously delusional if you believe we have that much power in management decisions.

Oh, I could go on, but there's way too many better things to do on a Saturday than respond to this drivel in detail. Bye, T-Man- hope the door knocks you on your ___ on the way out.

    T-Man, that is utter $|-|!T

as stated above, we didnt drive Francis out of here. Did we make the decisions to make the trades? Are we all smaller parts of CD? Did we DEMAND for TMAC or we wouldnt be fans? No, WE DID NOT! Rudy? Umm, he STEPPED down to one of the highest profile jobs you can get in the league. Hakeem? Ummm, he went for more money in which we made a substantial offer and the Raptors STILL came short in the end. Were we against the JJ trade? Yes, but still stuck by them.We stuck with what our team came out to be.

Blah, Blah, Blah with history. Do you see us as Portland with a money hungry team that comes up with NOTHING, oh but they had championship years with that Weedhead Walton.

Why the hell are you defending Dirk? That b*stard is a bad example of poor leadership skills and is getting called out for it. He blamed Terry for last night, yet TERRY is the BEST PLAYER for the Mavs in the Playoffs.

Like dandorotik stated, dont let your ASS hit the door....

There's just something about Euro players and flopping and whining like little girls. Happens in soccer and now it happens in basketball too.

Dirk had two forgettable playoff series; even the best players have bad runs. He lost his composure on several occasions, made some poor decisions, and couldn't find his shot. All of these things do not make him a loser. If he wants to come to the Rockets, they would take him in a second. Imagine him along Ming. Whoa.

Dirk looks like a chump, but you have to admit... he is right about Dampier, and Terry's end of the game play was one of the most boneheaded things I have ever seen in basketball. First, he doesn't foul Nash to prevent a 3 point play, then he fall back and gives him a completely open shot.

That said, you have to control yourself, or your teammates and fans are going to hate you.

Yes, Dirk acted like a total chump. If you are going to treat a teammate like that, a teammate who OUTPLAYED YOU the entire postseason, and scream at him in front of millions, you had better BRING IT. And Dirk never did the entire playoffs. And he played like an upset little girl in the OT. He should be yelling at himself for being a complete chump. Yeah, Terry should not have left the threeball open on that play. But you don't react that way if you are Dirk Nowitzki. Leaders show more class and strength, even in the toughest moments.

That said, It was totally sweet to see the Mav-holes go down.

You made several true observations, VERY TRUE.
All these fans who are dissing you for saying this are fickle and myopic as fans come.

    Oh yeah, DALLAS CHOKED!

he proved to be a choker against the Rockets, and last night against the Suns. Thanks for his 0-7 effort in the OT, Suns was able to close the series in a thriller.

When a guy is touted as an MVP candidate throughout the year, and is expected to be your franchise player... he certainly deserves this much blame, if not more.

If he's expected to be just another really good player, then he should be appreciated for the decent games he's had. Of course I'd take him on the Rockets... but I wouldn't take him to be a savior of a team, or the guy to put the entire team on his back. That is what Dallas needed him to be... and he couldn't do it.

That is why he is getting so much flack around here. He's a 1st-team all-NBA guy, and he didn't play anywhere close to that level in the playoffs.

THAT does not "just happen" if you are a 1st team all-NBA guy....
