no he was awesome, he did all the little things to help get the win. Stuff you don't see on stat sheets
No doubt. Everyone has a job. Stones job deals with trades....getting the best return on said trades. Stone may not demand plays, but may demand players get minutes. Attempt building trade value. We all have are bosses....pecking order or chain of command we have to deal with. Rockets are no different. Yes, thus making the change. As I've said, that's the playoff lineup I would use. Silas went to it in case of emergency, "Break Glass" play it now. ____________________ Silas has a system that was the most efficient of it's day. If you look at Play Type and frequency, the Mavs were heavy on 1) Pick-n-Roll (Ball Handler & Roll Man) 2) Cutters/Slashers 3) Hand Offs 4) Put Backs According to frequency. ___________________ Got on the internet, combination calculator. 5 positions and 16 players. 4,368 combinations. Preseason had 20 players. If a person thinks you only go by a few minutes of one game and know all... they have another thing coming. It's that kind of mindset that never discovers a Garrison Mathews fringe player. Silas would have been given a raw deal if he was fired. Silas did all the heavy lifting of sorting all this mess of a roster. Young and old.
Rumor - several teams show interest in Daniel Theis Article in German, but apparently it's sourced from The Ringer. https://www.bblprofis.de/index.php/...hrere-teams-zeigen-interesse-an-daniel-theis/
Here we go again... Sigh Won too many games in a row and Silas was told this isn't how you tank. Silas was like I got you fam. Theis starts. Hope we got 50 points this game and Theis plays 40 minutes.
Silas has a weak ass mentality. I remember the day that Adams couldn't be on the court because he gets spaced and outran. Instead of coming at him by playing small and fast we just put Theis in and lose by 10 points already in first quarter.
Memphis left him wide open must have been a dozen times in the first 6 minutes of that game ..... Theis made one bucket. Just can't play Theis with any other non shooter (Tate) or any other big. Its a double whammy. Silas did that to protect Wood from being abused by Adams but it backfired .....
Yet he finished the game 4-8 with a respectable 8 points 6 boards 2 blocks in 18 minutes you d00ds r foolish
The numbers appear respectable ..... but you have to realize what playing Theis , Tate & Wood together does to spacing and how teams defend - they leave Tate & Theis wide open at the 3 point line while staying on the better shooters. Theis can't shoot a good enough percentage from 3 to make teams play him honest. This observation really isn't a knock on Theis but how he has been used. If you watched the first 5 minutes of tonight's game , I don't know how you could respond otherwise. Theis needs to be the roll man surrounded by 4 shooters (or at least 3 and Tate). Wood and Theis get in each others way on the offensive end.
Theis is a nice player. There’s nothing wrong with him, he just can’t play with Wood in the same lineup. We have too many 5’s right now, and one of them needs to get moved. My guess is that it will be Theis.
How many times does Silas need to see that Wood + Theis does not work. The main reason we lost last night IMO I thought we were done doing this...
I think I figured out what is going on. Silas knows about people calling about Theis and demands to start him to tank his value so he can stay with us. What a nice guy.
