    the discovery store website it shows it as 80 bucks on the website but when you add it to your cart they take off 50 bucks!

    It's also 50 minutes longer and I've heard that the picture quality is better.

    I always thought it was sigorney weaver narrating...oh well...sounds good...

    I need to start looking for an HD-DVD player...any particular brands that are better than others? Where can I find it cheap? costco?

    You're pretty much limited to Toshiba. Onkyo did make a player and Microsoft has the 360 add-on, but your best bet is a Toshiba model. I recommend the A3 if you want a cheap, but reliable player. That can be had for under 100 bucks. If you want the best 3rd gen player on the market, go for the A35. It'll run you up to 200 bucks, but it's 1080p and can output lossless audio tracks over bitstream.

    Please get the BBC version. I think it's the best quality out of the hd-dvd movies out there.

    thanks for the info...I looked at the tigerdirect link and saw this:

    Toshiba HD-A3 HD-DVD Player - HDMI, 720p/1080i, Upconversion, Ethernet (With 2 Free Movies In The Box)

    Does it mean that this HD-DVD player doesn't play 1080P HD-DVD discs? Or does it mean HD-DVD discs aren't 1080P? :confused: I guess I just assumed all HD-DVD players would be 1080P...

    HD-DVDs are 1080p,this player only outputs 1080i. the HD-A35 outputs 1080p.

    I attempted to purchase a few hd dvds from this site and the order was immediately canceled due to "lack of inventory."
