I have seen them before, but today was ridiculous. Arsenal were the ones complaining that Ruud was the biggest diver of them all and now this. It wasn't just one player. The one were, I forget who it was, went down outside the pitch at the halfway line and about a minute later and this guy is back on the pitch lying down supposedly in pain. WTF was that. He should have been carded not Casillas, hopefully he will be fined or something.
The team I support has nothing to do with the fact that Arsenal is full of divers. Yeah, we have Ruud and Ronaldo, and I've blasted them both, especially Ronaldo in the past. I'm wasn't complaing, just stating the facts. BTW, Rooney is not a diver, I know you're refering to the game where we snapped your unbeaten streak, but one play does not warrant the title.
Wow T. Henry was spectacular and Real madrid looked like the Rockets this season at home, M.I.A. (They played with no energy or effort and were terrible in the midfield and defense, giving away the ball with little or no pressure). Arsenal deserved to win, they had most of the chances and were superb on Defense. I don't know why the coach took Robinho out and left Ronaldo in who was doing nothing at all. I can't wait for tomorrow's match: Barca vs. Chelsea (mouthwatering!).
Agree 100%. Also, why bring on Raul instead of Cassano? Raul is a shell of his old self, and coming off injury. Here's hoping Barca takes it to them. Has anyone else seen the pitch at Stamford Bridge lately? Pathetic.
To be fair we didn't see what happened. He could have rolled over onto the field, or he could have gotten up and then gone back down. 'Full of divers?' That's a big overstatement and pretty unfair unless you'd also consider ManU a team full of divers considering you've multiple players with the label. Pires was widely lambasted for the fall against Portsmouth. That was a one play assessment. I'll grant it was a big one and that Reyes has gone over quite a bit since he came from Spain. Part of that is the practice of diving on the Continent though I think.
He was carded, after he left the match. Even though Reyes is an ass, Cicinho is a bigger ass AND Reyes was owning him all night.
I've never been a fan of Raul but I think the coach brought him in to give him his 100th Champions League appearance in front of the home crowd. Personally I would have kept Robinho in and taken out Ronaldo or just not brought Raul in at all.
The whole 'potato field" debacle is funny. I don't like Chelsea but I think Mourinho is hilarious and makes the game interesting.
Unfortunately it doesn't happen often, but I always like hearing Mourinho's "rationalisation's" when Chelsea loses. I hope Barca kills them.
I was pretty suprised when Chelsea went right at Barca last year and won. I'm not sure what's changed that will keep CHelsea from winning again. They are so damn consistent.
I stand to correct myself. Actually Liverpool has not been knocked out yet. They will play game two in Anfield.
Some big upsets in the making at half time with Werder Bremen 1-0 up against Juve and Ajax 2-0 up on Inter. Also Chelsea are down to ten men in the big game against Barca. I thought it was a harsh red card on Del Horno, but Barca were denied a clear penalty right before the half.
