He is eligible for the playoffs if he sticks with them. He became a free agent way before March 1st. The Rockets waived him, I think, a couple of days after the Martin trade. NBA rules state that a player is eligible for the playoffs IF they file the paperwork to become free agents before March 1st. Anyways, this is not good news for the rest of the league! Brian Cook will lead the Nuggets to the promise land!
Wait, are you telling me we get to see Cook play again with his limping run down the court, his awkward fake pass attempts and his two handed attempt layups as a Nugget with Carmelo? Oh this I will pay to see.
He had decent years in LA, a good year in Orlando and some terrible years. He seemed like a great guy on the bench, but I just don't think he has NBA talent. I guess he could be useful during times when Melo or Chauncey are doubled...his three-point shot is streaky and it's like a bullet. No arch at all. Good for him to continue his career either way.
Lol...don't forget about his handles. Dude thought he was Allen Iverson during garbage minutes. What's odd is that Rudy T really liked him as a player. He must have seen something completely different in LA.
Nuggets4 I am terribly sorry not only do you have to listen to Scott Hastings do your games but also watch Cook now on the court. At least you know the pain I felt the past year. I do hope that he never sees the court unless its garbage time unless he is playing the Rockets then I hope he starts and logs 42+ minutes
The Lakers are still paying Cook under the table. Join the other contenders and wreck team chemistry. He achieves this by cheering in such a way that he steals camera time from the rest of the team.
Nice signing. Cook gives them a much needed size and 3 point shooting that makes Denver a contender immediately.
