NBA is never a fair sports. The fact is that officials control the result of most close games. They are not even close to the NCAA officials but get higher salary for doing blow out calls.

I don't know why people are being called whiners for pointing out that NBA officiating is terrible and superstars get special treatment. It is tiresome watching your team get screwed in close games. For those of you saying it's up to us to have a bigger lead in the first place, c'mon. Do you really expect us to have big leads over teams like the Heat and the Spurs in the fourth quarter? The Rockets are already overcoming having lesser talent by keeping the game close in the first place...it's pretty disheartening when they have to overcome the refs too.

Here are some quotes from the Hornets board about our game last night:

Are these outside party Hornets fans whiners too? Give me a break. It is what it is, but stop acting like people are frustrated by absolutely nothing.

I LOVE the middle quote... It is really apt and true. Good work.

if we protected our backboards, most likely we would have won.

every game has some missed calls (unless it's overt like the mavs series), stop blaming the refs for the reason why we lose.

and superstars do get favorable calls. that has been happening for a long time. if we get a superstar, we get those calls too. why do you think morey has been clamoring for a star? there are benefits with getting a superstar.

It's hard to get the superstar benefit-of-the-doubt calls when you ain't got a superstar.

Can't believe so many people are calling me a whiner. If even the Hornets fans, who were rooting for the Heat, can see that we were getting screwed by the refs, something has to be wrong. I am merely using this thread as a method to vent all the bull**** us fans go through.
