Anybody played Road to the show on MLB 08: The Show? It's addicting as can be and I love the game play. It's pretty similar to MVP 05 but with better graphics.. I think they did a great job with this release.
I got that game for my birthday a couple of months ago and i love it i haven't played any other game since... I play w/ the 'Stros and i murder all the time
MVP 05 was the greatest baseball game ever. I still play it actually, I had to move from PS2 to computer to be able to continue playing online. I'm actually in a really nice online MVP league with updated rosters and everything that's been going strong for several years now, if anyone is interested talk to me on AIM (Travis878).
I have the show, it's a great game. So much fun. I started the thing where u control 1 player, but I stupidly made him an outfielder.....that made it boring quick.
Yea i tried being an outfielder its real boring but third and first base are fun to play... i'm a starting pitcher in AAA Round Rock in my second season being a pitcher is really fun in that game
The Show is great, and it was actually one of the 4 or so reasons that I narrowed down my decision btwn XBOX and PS3 to today. I ended up choosing XBOX (and will get it in the next week or so)...but sadly, no MLB 08 is the result..
Im seriously addicted to this game, and im only playing it on PS2. Ive put in countless hours and can't get enough of The Show. Possibly the best baseball game ever.
IIRC, the studio that made the 2K baseball games got shut down, and the main designer of the games that was brought in (from EA) to turn the franchise around was recently let go. Does that answer your question?
