LOL, did you guys see clip #2? Dwight: I once saw a movie called Training Day. It starred an African American and Ethan Hawke. In it, the African American trains Ethan Hawke with various tests and trials. Today, Ryan is Ethan Hawke and I am the African American. Andy: Yo ho ho mama, ask me how bad I wanted to bone Jennifer Grey. Seriously you guys ask me. Lets just say me and Jennifer Grey probably would have broken a few laws.
Not strictly Office related, but I know there are some Scrubs fans in this thread that would appreciate this news: http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?date=10/25/06&id=20061025nbc01
Holy Crap, I called on Jeff Zucker to do this during the summer (for the fall programming). Those are the only four shows I would consider watching on NBC. Hopefully I'll be able to watch that at the end of November.
That's okay. It's a repeat of the season premiere, Gay Witch Hunt, where Michael outs Oscar. New episodes start up again next week, all the way to the end of November though.
What did everyone think about today's episode? Personally I thought it was pretty weak and I'm Indian so the Diwali stuff was probably funnier for me than most people. But no real laugh out loud scenes today, at least not for me.
I hate that they continue to make Michael look so pathetic at times... Spoiler Especially the proposal scene tonight. The attempted kiss with Pam was funny.
Damn, that was brutal. The awkward quotient went through the freaking roof tonight. That is some old school British Office stuff right there. And honestly, they might have surpassed the most cringeworthy moments of the English version with this one. Spoiler Even David Brent didn't hit on Dawn. The back to back, proposal scene and then Michael throwing himself at Pam was absolutely nuts. I'm not sure what to think right now about this episode. I'll have to watch it again.
Bingo, I'm really not sure what to think about this one. It was just so strange to see and so pathetic to see Michael like that. Although I loved Kelly's parents because its just so damn accurate in terms of how many Indian parents talk and act like.
That was the best part of the episode IMO. Michael making a fool of himself is a key ingredient that makes the show funny. Michael: "I need a ride home." Pam: "Only if you sit in the back." I have a feeling that Season 3 will start getting better once they get the whole group back together again. The titles of the next two episode are "Branch Closing" and "The Merger."
I loved it. I thought it was on par with most of the new season, which has been pretty awesome so far..
Thanks man I'll check it out once I get home. My sister said it was a hilarious episode. I can't wait!
