I was just like you, but I like the British one. I'm still partial to steve carrell but the British one is just another tv show you can waste some time on. They're both good in their own right.
Tonight's show may have been my favorite of all time. The scenes with Michael toying with Dwight were priceless. And to see Michael finally lose it when Dwight made fun of his Sebring...awesome. Other moments: Jim's office playing Call of Duty. He needs to bone that chick at the desk, or on the desk, behind him. Pam who? Jim: "The sniper" Co-worker: "When this game is over I'm really going to shoot you." Dwight: "Reject a woman and she will never let it go - one of the many defects of their kind. Also weak arms." Michael: "There is no way of knowing what goes on inside a tiger's head. We don't have the technology." Dwight telling Angela: "You can be in charge of the women." Creed staring at Pam at her desk. That dude is just plain nuts.
call me insensitive but i really hope that Jim hooks up with that hot coworker that sits behind him. oh. my. gawd. *also if this is how it is in the british version, PLEASE PLEASE do not ruin my hopes and dreams!*
The British one is different. I mean main stuff like the Pam-Jim thing, or the tendencies of the characters are the same but a lot of stuff is different. Plus the British one stopped after 2 seasons so the story never got this deep. Don't worry, you'll be fine.
I don't know about anyone else, but I loved this episode. I've bounced around some office boards/blogs and the reaction is way mixed (some people are saying this was the worst episode or second worst episode of the series after Dwights Speech, which I'll admit wasn't that great), but I loved it: Michael and Dwight matching wits might have been the funniest thing I've ever seen. Let's face it, these guys are borderline clinical r****ds, and seeing them trying to be sly and Machiavellian was too much for me. Looks like they're setting up Stamford as an intensely competitive, work hard/play hard bizzaro version of Scranton. Andy is Dwight, Karen is Pam, and Josh is the Poor Man's Michael Scott (as he's known around Michael's condo). It'll be interesting to see where they go with this. Although I really hope they don't go through with the merged branches idea. That would be lazy. BTW Jim with the sniper rifle was hilarious, because that's exactly what I was using the first time I tried playing Medal of Honor with some friends. I was truly useless. Just couldn't get used to the dual joystick controls. Kelly is truly the most annoying person on the face of the earth. Looks like Dwangela might be on the outs. I guess Oscar really is on vacation. I'm kind of torn about Jan. On the one hand she's uber-hot and a nice bit of eye candy. And I could totally see her and Michael being endlessly hilarious with their love/hate relationship. But I'm afraid of it being too much. I mean the actress has been made a regular, but how many times can you have her plausibly driving 2 1/2 hours down to Scranton. Heck I still don't know why she went to the office in the first place. She just chewed Michael out and then left, but she didn't know about the movie Monday thing until she got there. Oh well. Shouldn't over-think it, I guess. Just ruins things. Didn't really care for Pam's subplot. But whatever. They can't all be winners. There's was one bit with her in the deleted scenes at nbc.com that was hilarious though. I love how they set up this whole Shakespearean vibe, Angela as Lady Macbeth, and Michael running the whole Hamlet guilt trip. But then Michael's car gets put down and it's over. All that stuff gets tossed out the window, with Michael going, "Screw this guilt s***. Nobody puts Sebring in the Corner*" Hug it out b****! *Full Disclosure, I unabashedly stole that "Sebring in the Corner line."
i thought tonight's episode was awesome. Andy's, "I'm going to kill you for real. The game is over. I'm really going to shoot you." was fantastic. The new chick is hot but she also gets the benefit of twice the makeup that the pam character uses. we all know that at some point in this series jim and pam get together but some distraction is probably for the best. everyone should definitely check out the deleted scenes at nbc.com, some really good creed stuff in there.

BJ Novak has written some of my favorite episodes including Diversity Day and Sexual Harrasment, but the last episode was written by Paul Lieberstein. Hug it out, b****. That is what men say to each other after a fight. They hug it out, and in doing so, they just let it go. And walk away when they’re done. Not a good idea to say that to a woman, however, I have found. Doesn’t translate.
I have to make a confession. I'm such an addict to The Office that I watch with a notepad in hand so I can write down a remember the good quotes.
Anyone else catch the spit/drool coming out of Dwight's mouth after he got off of the floor and hugged it out with Michael?
http://www.officetally.com/ They have all of the quotes from every episode, and they display quotes from the newly aired episodes later the same night.
For those of you that don't have The Office season two dvd, I came across my absolute favorite deleted scene on youtube. This has to be the funniest scene the show has ever produced. I guess it was too long for the show, but it stunningly hilarious even as a standalone: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/MDCn7E4cb7w"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/MDCn7E4cb7w" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Site Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDCn7E4cb7w
