Loved the season finale, have no quibbles with the show itself, laughed out loud constantly. Going to miss the Jim/Karen thing. I saw nothing wrong with the way the show was this year with those two together, why mess with that? String it along ...
m_cable is right, you're better off now that they're probably together. if jim didn't come in at the last minute it'd be another summer/possibly season of "when will they?" and the writers would have to deal with that. that's answered now and the show can resume to normal operating procedure.
Dah, they got you. And me too. But I think the Jim Pam thing was played very touchingly. That relationship is subtle, probably wrong, and very craftily written. God I will miss Kelly and Ryan though.
Michael selling his condo on ebay and being happy getting 80% of what it was worth was great. Next year will be big for this show. With NBC giving them a whopping 30 episodes there are going to have to take the writing and story lines to another level, imo. I think they'll have to get more into the lives of some of their other characters.
I imagine for at least an episode or two then they'll give her the boot. Maybe she'll become the office slut after being spurned by Jim and do Andy and Toby. Here's a deleted scene from the show: http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/video/#mea=105170
Ryan probably won't be gone next year. If he has Jan's old job, he'll be popping in, keeping tabs on Michael, who will still treat him like a temp. Should be a lot of funny momnets there.
Good point...I really didn't think that through, but that has a lot of promise. I wonder if Jan is really going to stay at Michael's house waiting in "stretch pants" for him to come home at 5:15.
yeah good call. that'll be hilarious. overall, I was disappointed with the ep. last night. Closed a lot of storylines...but nothing that blew me away. And with that lacking, it also didn't make me laugh out loud the whole time. So it missed on both...which means, "eh" to me. But I went nuts with stanley nickels...oh man. yeah i'll miss ryan/kelly, but i liked how he dropped her
I got to admit, I was expecting more...I mean, at least last year there was a cliffhanger...Jim & Pam going out, so I guess that means no Karen? C'mon Shrute bucks...that was classic...Jan was well, very large and daddy likey...It'll be interesting to see how that plays out... and Creed regarding Jan: "I find it offensive. Au naturale baby, that’s how I like ‘em. Swing low sweet chariots" and don't forget his blog on MS Word...www.creedthoughts.gov.www\creedthoughts Ryan is the man...
If they're skipping over the summer and doing the show in "real time" like they did last year, then Karen will probably never be seen again. Rashida did a pilot that got picked up so, she's probably done with the show anyway. Yeah, next year should be really good. No more Jim/Pam angst. Ryan as Michael's boss. Hopefully the show can start to focusing on the background characters and having more ensemble episodes. Because as much as I like Michael, Jim, and Pam; it's the background characters who really set this show apart from the original bbc version, and gives the show it's own identity.
True but her character Karen is Italian. I remember she said something like, "This is Miss. Filipelli." (paraphrased) with an Italian accent.
I think it was Michael who said it when he was putting their nametags down before they arrived on their first day in Scranton. But yeah, they certainly made her character Italian.
